Review Summary

MajesThé Bistro Bar is widely recognized as a standout destination for Taiwanese Asian fusion cuisine in Montreal, frequently praised for its generous portion sizes, flavorful dishes, and affordable pricing. Popular menu items include the karaage chicken, bao buns, and omurice, with many guests commending the attentive and friendly service provided by the staff. While the restaurant has navigated recent transitions to a new location, patrons generally appreciate the warm atmosphere and the lively weekend karaoke nights. Although a small number of visitors reported inconsistent food quality or issues with the indoor temperature during the move, the consensus remains highly positive, with many diners noting that it is an excellent spot for both casual outings and organized group events.

This is one of THE BEST Taiwanese-Asian fusion restaurants in Montreal - hands down! Everything is BOMB especially their bao buns, calamari, truffle fries & their karaage chicken. Their food is sooo fresh & genuinely to die for!

Great food for cheap! I took a karaage bao expecting it to be small but it was generously big. The chicken was super crunchy, but I do think the spicy mayo overpowered the rest of the flavours of the bao a bit (chicken, veggies, etc).

Service was really quick & friendly (we were a group of 6 a Wednesday evening at their new location). It was a bit cold inside. Seatings are diverse: high chairs & low chairs. Despite the restaurant being small, you still had enough space to be comfortable. There's space to hang your clothes too so you don't have to keep your big coats with you at the table.

I also recommend ordering the takoyakis; out of many takoyakis I ate at other places, the ones at MajesThé are def one of the best. They're big & well toasted.

If you're a group of 5+, reservation is recommended as the restaurant (well at least, for their location as of January 7 2026) is quite small.

Had dinner at the newest location, was as tasty & fresh as we remembered. I'm hoping the current set up is temporary as they settle into the new space, it was quite cold both in ambiance & temperature but I'm sure it'll be adjusted over time. Looking forward to seeing it finalized!

Where is the new location? My colleagues & I used to order the Chicken Katsu Curry & loved it, we are going to miss it.

Way too dark inside, the fried chicken was literally half burnt, & everything else tasted like it had been reheated in a microwave or air fryer. Definitely not worth it.

I've been to MajesThe 10+ times over the past year, & it is by far one of my favourite bars in Montreal. There is a nice variety of great food, but the grilled chicken (available for dinner only) particularly stands out. That being said, the staff at MajesThe are really what makes this place shine. They always provide exceptional service, even when they are super busy & managing large groups. & the vibes for Friday night karaoke (starting at 8pm) are always S-tier! Genuinely, I cannot recommend this place enough.
