New wave bubble tea shop that serves eleven types of cold tea lattes, pretty desserts (see this matcha sponge cake, with raspberry mousse, mango and raspberry purée, and matcha crumble), and a variety of stylish brunch and lunch plates, from eggs Benedict with bacon candy and Chinese sausage bits, to a chic croissanwich.
MajesThé Bistro Bar comes across in reviews as a versatile spot with strong Taiwanese fusion flavors and hearty portions, offering items like bao buns, karaage, curry omurice, udon, fried rice, pork belly and takoyaki that are described as fresh, flavorful and reasonably priced. The dining experience is defined by warm, friendly service and attentive staff, with many notes about accommodating dietary needs such as gluten-free options while keeping pans clean and flavors intact. The atmosphere blends a cozy basement vibe with live music and occasional karaoke, making it a popular pre-night-out choice and a good venue for groups or events, though a few reviewers mention the space being small, a bit dark, or chilly at times during the winter. Move to a new location is mentioned, with the transition not dampening overall satisfaction for most, and the value and quality are repeatedly praised alongside recommendations for trying omurice, katsu curry and the bao variations.
MajesThé was a real treat to discover. The cocktails are unique & on point, & all the meals are delicious. The waiters are also very considerate. It was a pleasure eating there & I look forward to going again! Thank you Amanda, you're wonderful!
In my memory, Majesthé was known for its bubble tea, but now it is a bar & offers… bubble tea cocktails? Anyway, it is very different from the old Majesthé at Place des arts (a few years ago). The food (lu rou fan- braised pork rice) is quite good, & I tried the very popular Yuzu sour whisky, it's not bad, but not outstanding. The interior decor is quite nice, they have sofas if you want to be comfy. The price is reasonable overall & service is good in general.
I had a fantastic experience at Bar Majesthé! The atmosphere was warm & inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind. Live music was great & the menu had a great selection, & everything we ordered was fresh & delicious .
A special shoutout to our server, Amanda, who was outstanding! She was friendly, attentive, & had excellent recommendations that made our meal even better. Her knowledge of the menu & thoughtful suggestions truly elevated our dining experience.
I've been to this place a couple of times now & it's always been fun! Fast service & a big menu. Everything tastes good & they usually have theme nights (Friday karaoke & Saturday jazz). For lunch the menu is smaller but they have all the popular dishes & there's less people so it's a nice place for a relaxing lunch.
Even though it's a bar, the main dishes are surprisingly delicious! I especially love the Taiwanese Basil Fried Chicken-it's super authentic! The new Salt & Pepper Pork Ribs with Rice is also amazing! The honey-based sauce that comes with it is really special, definitely worth a try! The egg fried rice has a great wok flavor, & the spicy option uses fresh chili peppers, which shows how skilled the chef is. The service is also great-very friendly! Overall, it's a restaurant with great value for the price!
I had lunch with two others there during a visit to McGill university in early November of 2024. We ordered a total of four or five dishes. The prices were very reasonable. The service was good. The food was plentiful & very tasty. I will gladly go there again.
I had an amazing time there! I went for a birthday celebration & everything was just perfect-the atmosphere, the jazz performance, & the food came out really quickly. A big thanks to the fantastic customer service, especially to our waitress Amanda, who did an incredible job handling our large group in such a short time. I'll definitely be back!
Amazing food & a great selection of drinks & cocktails. Will definitely become a monthly customer at this restaurant & bar! The staff was also very friendly & helpful when ordering food & also took note of allergies to make sure nothing bad would happen.
