Maison du Jazz Laval (House of Jazz) offers a vibrant, immersive jazz experience with stunning chandeliers, warm ambiance, and high quality live performances that make for a memorable night out. The food and cocktails are well executed and the service is generally attentive and friendly, with guests praising the welcoming atmosphere and the unique decor that evokes a bygone era. While prices are on the higher side and peak nights can bring noise and occasional waits, the overall vibe, show caliber and ambiance consistently earn high marks, making it a standout spot for celebrations and music lovers alike.
First experience was memorable. We took the oysters, fried dumplings (not pictured), & the grilled octopus. The food was a solid 4/5 stars. Service was mostly attentive & checked in on us throughout the evening.
The most important aspect of the HoJ is the atmosphere; you're in for a sensory experience (maybe overload?). The ceiling is affixed with chandeliers of all sorts; the walls with mirrors & vintage posters. The musical act (One Love Project) was fantastic! Cannot be overstated.

Remontez le temps avec cette ambiance Jazz. La décoration & l'ambiance vous transportent littéralement dans un univers de paillettes d'antan. Le spectacle est magnifique & varié en sensations. Le service est impressionnant & les serveurs sont de vrais Apollon & Appoline 😁. Je recommande.
Had a great night out with friends on. Wednesday night..booked a table in front of the stage in advance. Never charged us a cover to see the show (NB: nice touch for people spending a lot on meals, wine & drinks) Great jazz show with popular covers of 80's & 90's hits. Staff were super accommodating & flexible & allowed us to move tables around to dance. Seemed like a Friday or Saturday night on a Wednesday! Perfect for hospitality industry people like me who work weekends but still want to go out.

L'ambiance est sympa, idéale pour écouter de la musique live & passer un bon moment entre amis.
Côté nourriture, c'est correct sans plus - on vient surtout pour l'expérience musicale.
À noter aussi : les prix peuvent varier avec certains frais ajoutés, donc mieux vaut vérifier à l'avance.

Soirée extraordinaire au House of Jazz de Laval. C'était notre première expérience & certainement pas la dernière. Le décor est majestueux & impressionnant. Le service par Alex a été vraiment parfait! Tous les plats commandés étaient vraiment délicieux. Les cocktails sont super bons également. On a eu la chance d'avoir une chanteuse vraiment exceptionnelle qui a fait solidement levé le party! Nous avons danser & eu une soirée entre amis vraiment mémorable! Merci! Trop hâte de revenir!
je n'ai jamais vu un service aussi exécrable... Je ne suis vraiment pas du genre à faire de mauvais commentaire... Étant moi-même propriétaire d'entreprise... Je sais que c'est difficle gérer une entreprise & avoir de bon employés(es)... & surtout que nous n'avons aucun contrôle sur nos employés(es)... mais sérieusement je crois que le serveur est venu 2 fois nous voir de toute la soirée... il a fallu que moi-même j'aille le voir pour demande une autre bouteille de vin... Honnêtement, nous serions rester plus longtemps... mais étant donné que le serveur n'est jamais venu nous voir, nous n'avons pas pris de digestifs/café & dessert... Nous avons demandé la facture/addition... Au rsique de me répéter, je ne fais pratiquemet jamais de mauvais commentaires... même au contraire, je m'efforce de faire de bons commentaires... je sais que c'est difficile & je sais que les bons commentaires sont toujours d'une bonne aide pour les entreprises... mais vraiment je ne crois pas avoir été aussi mal servi de toute ma vie... vraiment honnêtement... pas que le serveur n'était pas courtoie ou gentil... juste qu'il était complètement absent...voir inexistant...hahaha
This is the second time the restaurant has tried to change my reservation from the first floor or (the bar area) to the second floor at the last minute, claiming there was an issue with the online reservation system. The first time, I accepted it because I really like this place. However, it happened again, & it's hard not to feel that the explanation isn't entirely honest. It gives the impression that tables are being reassigned for last-minute VIP guests.
I enjoy the restaurant & the food, but reservations should be respected. Customers shouldn't feel like their table can be moved anytime something'more important' comes up.
Great place for live music & good food! It's on the pricey side but you will definitely have a memorable night out. We ordered the burger. Excellent. & calamari. Also great.
The bands tend to cost about $30 per person for the show but it's great to see such high end performers up close.
You can sit at the tables in the main room or around the bar.
Parking can be a bit limited.

First timers in family for our son's 18 bday.
Since entrance all was perfect.
Hostess, servers & then the wonderful LIZA MELFI's & band show. All very professional. Food excellent. Cocktails & sangria very well done.
All enjoyable. We will be back

Je suis une habituée des restos-jazz. C'était ma première visite à cet établissement & je regrette de devoir affirmet que j'y ai passé une soirée médiocre. Les lampes du plafond ont clignotté pendant toute la soirée. Le menu était intéressant & le repas a été bien servi, mais la qualité des plats laissait à désirer. Ce que l'on a joué ce soir-là n'était pas du jazz. Les musiciens étaient bons, mais n'importe qui aurait pu templacer le chanteur. La musique était beaucoup trop forte pour être agréable. Enfin, au moment du départ, la préposée au vestiaire s'est montrée mal embouchée à mon endroit après que je lui ai expliqué que c'était ma nièce, partie aux toilettes, qui avail mon jeton. Il va sans dire que je n'ai aucune intetion d'y retourner.
This place is phenomenal in every way possible. The ambiance in general was amazing from the performers, the unique decorations (especially the numerous chandeliers) & the service we received! House of Jazz was exactly what we needed to remind my friends & I how much we enjoyed being in the moment & surrounded by live music. I would also like to highlight that they were very generous by not putting too much ice in our drinks 🥂✨
Une belle soirée entre amis, Charles notre serveur est extrêmement gentil, professionnel & très efficace. Son accueil chaleureux, son service rapide & toujours avec le sourire. Une personne amicale qui fait vraiment la différence. Bravo & merci Charles!!!
I loved everything! Food was delicious. Warm & cozy Ambiance! The band & singer Miss Michelle Sweeney were amazing. Would defintely go back!
