Our private room "Bijou" is located upstairs in the Monte Carlo / VIP area and is available for groups of up to 10 people.
Maison du Jazz Laval (House of Jazz) shines with a dazzling immersive atmosphere, striking décor and a top notch live band that delivers lively performances night after night. Guests praise the food and cocktails as solid to excellent, the service as friendly and attentive, and the overall vibe as celebratory and memorable. While some visits note a busy and noisy setting and occasional service delays, the combination of great music, warm ambiance and a sense of occasion makes it a standout choice for a night out with friends or a special celebration.
Do patrons always need to take over a place to celebrate their birthday & make every other patron watch & listen to their playlist: covers of Diana Ross, The Beatles, Gloria Gaynor, Abba. I'm surprised Boney-M & Village People were not covered as well.
Very narcissistic & selfish. Disappointing & inauthentic jazz club experience. Depressing to watch musicians have to do covers of tired old hits then sing happy birthday to a select group that hijacked the place for themselves.
I guess it was too much to expect a Coltrane or Miles Davis tune accompanied by an Ella Fitzgerald?
The singers even had their laptops open to make sure they got the lyrics right.
The food & service was adequate at least. The Linguine @26$ was good & the lava cake was ok.
Service: the table service was quick. We waited 10/15 min for our meal.
But we came also for the music which was a huge letdown. All the chandeliers, glitterballs & mirrors in the world can not make up for a karaoke music experience. Once again, all about appearance & little substance.
La nourriture était assez bonne toutefois tiède. Le plat n'était pas chaud. Le service a été mauvais. Il a fallu demander 3 fois & insister notre plat principal qui n'arrivait pas au bout d'une heure. Le serveur n'est jamais venu à notre table. Il a aussi fallu courir après la facture & la demander à 3 différentes personnes pour l'avoir.
Cependant, la musique était excellente.

Had an amazing evening at House of Jazz. The food was excellent, but the real highlight is the atmosphere & live music. The moment you walk in, it feels like stepping back into the golden age of jazz. Perfect place for a night out to disconnect, relax, & enjoy an unforgettable vibe with talented musicians & a warm ambiance. Definitely one of the best spots in Montreal for a unique evening experience.
Très bien, ambiance & musiciens excellents, bonne nourriture, bon service, relax at sans stress, je leur suggère d'ajouter du vin maison en litres & demi litres..
Lovely place, really cozy. The service was incredible, we even got to talk with the band members, & the food was absolutely incredible. I recommend to anyone who loves jazz, blues & this kind of vibe

Bel endroit. La nourriture super bonne. Le service par contre est lent. C'est comme si on t'oublie ... Pas de problème pour prendre & sortir les commandes,mais par la suite personnes ne vient de te voir ... Tu dois lever la main pour qu'on te remarque. Ce que je trouve platte ce n'est pas la faute du resto,mais les gens paient pour venir voir le spectacle & certains clients se pensent à la cage aux sports.. parlent fort par dessus la musique. Je trouve que ça manque de respect pour les artistes.

Superbe soirée que j'ai passé avec ma fille qui adore le style de musique proposée. C'était notre première visite & nous avions l'impression de faire partie de la famille par la qualité du service. Un merci spécial à Valérie, qui était la barmaid samedi dernier.
First experience was memorable. We took the oysters, fried dumplings (not pictured), & the grilled octopus. The food was a solid 4/5 stars. Service was mostly attentive & checked in on us throughout the evening.
The most important aspect of the HoJ is the atmosphere; you're in for a sensory experience (maybe overload?). The ceiling is affixed with chandeliers of all sorts; the walls with mirrors & vintage posters. The musical act (One Love Project) was fantastic! Cannot be overstated.
Remontez le temps avec cette ambiance Jazz. La décoration & l'ambiance vous transportent littéralement dans un univers de paillettes d'antan. Le spectacle est magnifique & varié en sensations. Le service est impressionnant & les serveurs sont de vrais Apollon & Appoline 😁. Je recommande.
Had a great night out with friends on. Wednesday night..booked a table in front of the stage in advance. Never charged us a cover to see the show (NB: nice touch for people spending a lot on meals, wine & drinks) Great jazz show with popular covers of 80's & 90's hits. Staff were super accommodating & flexible & allowed us to move tables around to dance. Seemed like a Friday or Saturday night on a Wednesday! Perfect for hospitality industry people like me who work weekends but still want to go out.

L'ambiance est sympa, idéale pour écouter de la musique live & passer un bon moment entre amis.
Côté nourriture, c'est correct sans plus - on vient surtout pour l'expérience musicale.
À noter aussi : les prix peuvent varier avec certains frais ajoutés, donc mieux vaut vérifier à l'avance.
Globalement, un endroit agréable pour une soirée détente autour du jazz 👍
Soirée extraordinaire au House of Jazz de Laval. C'était notre première expérience & certainement pas la dernière. Le décor est majestueux & impressionnant. Le service par Alex a été vraiment parfait! Tous les plats commandés étaient vraiment délicieux. Les cocktails sont super bons également. On a eu la chance d'avoir une chanteuse vraiment exceptionnelle qui a fait solidement levé le party! Nous avons danser & eu une soirée entre amis vraiment mémorable! Merci! Trop hâte de revenir!
