Super nice spot in lasalle. Lovely to study, hangout & take pictures, they even have an outdoor patio. Great service too.
Their biscoff latte is delish for the people who have sweet tooths, their esspesso is pretty good.
Their matcha though is SOOOOO good. I got the strawberry matcha & what stands out to me is the natural freshness of their homemade syrup. I love strawberry syrup that tastes like real sweet strawberries, when you drink it you even get tiny pieces of syrup. I absolutely hate getting a strawberry matcha that tastes artificial & makes you end up with a strawberry milk type of drink.
The only downside is that I felt they could've put a little bit more matcha, I felt it wasn't strong enough to overpower the syrup.
As much I used to love their matcha, my recent experience was really disappointed. I drove 20 minutes to specially try new mango matcha but not worth it all. The cup was filled with just ice & tasted like water. The quality of the drinks was much better when the cafe was first opened, but now quality has declined so much. I have also tried starbucks new mango matcha, they made sure to tastes the same whenever I order it. Also, it's $7.85 for a 750ml drink! Maison needs to understand brand consistency to not to loose their clients. I used to visit this place once a week but now I definitely won't be coming again.
I tried the Mango Matcha & it was absolutely delicious! The combination of matcha & mango was perfectly balanced-refreshing, smooth, & not overly sweet. It was the perfect drink for a warm day. Great quality & great taste. I'll definitely be coming back for another one

The matcha flavour was not strong as I expected. Overall the drinks were 7/10. The cookie was average, & the dot cake was really dry with hard icing 3/10. At this price point, I expect better quality food.
Very overhyped. The cup was mostly filled with ice, barely any of the drink (i got a double pistachio matcha latte… it didn't taste much of pistachios either). & the menu/prices showed online don't reflect the menu in store. I came all the way from the south shore to try the earl grey or biscoff matcha & a tuna toast, but when i got there both of the matchas weren't on the menu at all, neither the toasts option & on top of that the prices are more expensive than shown on the menu posted online. I also planned on staying in the cafe to enjoy the bagel & drink i ordered but they gave me everything in to go packaging so i just left. Overall very disappointed because a change in the menu should be indicated somewhere maybe on their social media at least & the drink was not worth the 10$ i paid
Matcha drinks are so tasty! Pistachio & strawberry shortcake were my favourite. Staff were super welcoming & service was quick. Nice calm ambience to chill in thank you!
Honestly, I don't really get the hype 😭 I paid over $10 after tax for a MEDIUM drink just for it to come half-filled with ice… so basically I paid for a small 💀
The matcha itself was also weird. It wasn't blended/mixed properly at all - you taste the matcha separately, then the strawberry separately, & it just feels random instead of complementary. The flavors don't go together naturally, it's like ingredients were just thrown together 😕
On top of that, the inside is REALLY small, so the whole experience felt cramped. & honestly, I felt kinda pressured/uncomfortable by the owner while ordering 😬 The customer service wasn't terrible or anything, but it definitely wasn't anything special either.
Nothing extraordinary honestly. Super overrated for the price, & you could definitely get way better elsewhere for cheaper.
Tried Maison for the first time in person after having their drinks through takeout before, & honestly it felt like home 🤍
We got the Sea Salt Earl Grey for my mom & the Double Pistachio for myself - both were SO good. We also tried the banana bread & it was genuinely one of the most moist banana breads I've ever had.
The owners & staff were incredibly kind & welcoming. It was an extremely busy day of running errands, & somehow that drink kept me going through it all 😭 So thank you Maison for the warmth, kindness, & comfort yesterday ✨
