Great food...my first time there & will definitely be returning. Soup dumplings were excellent & the Noodle soup with braised beef was exceptional. I highly recommend!!
If you love trying new spots before everyone else, this one's for you 👀🔥
Maison Bao just landed in Montreal & it's already a fave ❤?
Straight from Toronto, this spot is serving fluffy baos, tiny viral dumplings, chocolate soup ones, super flavourful & comfort food done right 🥟 From casseroles, noodles & appetizers, everything is perfect for sharing, discovering new bites, & satisfying every craving 🍜✨
so good ! loved the dumplings & the cucumbers were super fresh & crunchy. lovely lunch
We visited Maison Bao due to the reviews & also seeing a recommendation from insta but we were disappointed.
The restaurant was totally empty when we visited, yet when we asked to sit at a table that wasn't facing the sun (as it was a warm day) we weren't allowed.
The menu didn't provide details of what was actually in the food so we ordered the soup dumplings & beef & onion dumplings.
They tasted ok but there are dumpling places nearby which are better.
We found out too late that the beef & onion dumplings have mushroom (which I'm allergic to), but they denied & said it was woodear (a type of mushroom).
Suffice to say we will not be returning & do not recommend visiting.
The dumplings here are great & the employees are super kind 💗 Will definitely come again
For the price you're paying the food is amazing.
If you're expecting mind blowing dumplings. Don't go there. You're looking at walking away paying $20 & full.
It's worth it for the price. Also love the concept of not needing to talk to a server. Fantastic & efficient concept.
The space is nice & the staff were genuinely warm & welcoming, which made for a great overall atmosphere. I tried the dumplings, takoyaki, fried tofu & a soup & while they were enjoyable, they didn't stand out much compared to similar dishes I've had elsewhere. That said, it's still a pleasant spot.
