Upon arriving, I was greeted t the door by Melissa, soon to be our server. Although I was early for my reservations, she showed me to our table without hesitation. The restaurant is gorgeous inside. So quaint & pretty. Seating is a bit tight, but after seeing how many people came to eat that night, I understand why. As I waited for my guest, I took the opportunity to check the decor. Not a speck of dust anywhere. I ordered a glass of house wine & Melissa brought the bottle for me to see & allowed me to taste it before committing. Very professional. It was time to order. I had the beef tartare for my appetizer. Delicious. My main course was a lobster salad which contained the entire lobster. Simply delicious. My guest ordered the duck & loved it. Honestly, it was the best food I have eaten in a restaurant, EVER! Melissa was amazing, the owner came to chat with us. I cannot say enough about the restaurant. A MUST visit. If I could rate higher than 5 stars, I would. Be prepared to bring your wallet, but it is more than worth the price. I cannot wait to go back
C'est toujours agréable de savourer un bon repas à ce restaurant ! L'ambiance est superbe ainsi que le service. La nourriture est savoureuse tant pour les papilles & la présentation visuelle est jolie. Les portions sont un peu plus petites qu'avant la pandémie cependant comme dans de nombreux restaurants. Maintenant ouvert les vendredis midi ! Je recommande cet excellent resto à Ste-Agathe, l'un des seuls dans sa gamme.

This is is my 4th time at Maison 1890 & we went to celebrate my birthday. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed & catered to beyond any restaurant I have been to. The food is impeccable & impressive & so tasty. The atmosphere is also wonderful as every other table feels just as blessed to have been there like us. We love everything about Maison 1890! Très belle place. Nous avons opté pour le menu dégustation avec accord mets-vin. La nourriture était excellente & que dire du service... EXCELLENT! Charmante soirée.
Nous avons eu une très belle expérience lors de notre souper au 1890. Le service, l'atmosphère ainsi que la nourriture a été apprécié par nous deux. Un très bon restaurant que je recommande fortement.
Had 2 wonderful dinners here over the holiday. Even though they were slammed with a full house, service, food, & attentiveness were over the top. Great food, great service & a great hostess. Highly recommend.
The truffle spahghetti & walleye (fish of the day) were amazing, the flavors of everything on the plate compliment each other so well! The service was great, multiple servers came to our table throughout the night & we never had to wave anyone down. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone & definitely would go here again!
We came here for our 1 year anniversary. The service was wonderful, the atmosphere was peaceful & the food...omg, the food was incredible. Hats off to the chef, the elk was delicious! Our waitress Melissa was lovely. If we're in the area again, we will definitely return. Thank-you!

Aujourd'hui, un 3e commerce nous épate à Ste-Agathe... allez voir mes autres « critiques »! Quoi de mieux pour clore cette belle journée de découvertes? Ce soir, un repas délicieux dans une ambiance agréable... de la haute gastronomie à prix abordable, environ 60-80$/convive (entrée, plat principal, thé, sans alcool). On n'avait pas le goût de boire de l'alcool, mais je peux vous dire que Maison 1890 a une belle sélection de vins & spiritueux! Ce soir, ce fut ma mère & moi, on célébrait les 55 ans de la rencontre de mes parents. On voulait de quoi de spécial & on ne vous cachera pas qu'on a été agréablement surpris par les saveurs dégustées à partir du pain d'accompagnement aux entrées aux plats principaux au thé... On a voyagé aux 4 coins de notre belle planète & nous avons rarement aussi bien mangé dans un resto. La déco & la musique = perfection. La prochaine fois, on revient avec les amis. Il semble y avoir une petite salle pour de petits groupes privés? Merci d'avoir été aussi extraordinaire pour nous!
C'était notre deuxième visite! Nous étions 12 personnes pour célébrer mon anniversaire. Superbe soirée, un gros merci aux hôtes de ce restaurant. La nourriture est excellente & bien apprêtée . L'atmosphère est aussi très agréable. Le service est vraiment extraordinaire. L'attention du personnel est remarquable. Vous voulez passer une superbe soirée? The duck was amazing, best I’ve ever had. The halibut with risotto was also amazing. I could not stop eating.
