Cool looking place, dark ambiance & overall good food. To start, we had the beef tar tar & French onion soup- both awesome. The steak we had porterhouse & shared it. The flavours were great, I will say it was a tad overcooked but we enjoyed it. The sommelier was very helpful & the wine was delicious. Service could have been a touch better for what we paid. They did throw in a free dessert because it was our anniversary which was very nice, really appreciated that.
Eggs Benedict was quite fancy & it tasted good. A bit expensive though for me but I just had to try this. There were no smoked meats place open at the time I had this.
We love Maggie Oakes, especially while we stay at the William Gray. During our past visit, Cephas was such an amazing server. He was super attentive & very respectful of our family & even made sure our 1 year old daughter was comfortable. We will be back & hope Cephas waits on us! Thanks again
Had a nice late breakfast, a little pricey overall but the food & service was very good. Location was central to old town & an easy walk from our hotel.
Fantastic, attentive service with deliciously prepared dishes. The oysters of the day was whatever was available & fresh for the day. The Beluga Lentil salad was light & refreshing. The French Onion soup was tasty & delicious - the portion was huge. The Porterhouse was grilled to a juicy perfection & came with vegetables & we opted for the truffle mash which was heavenly. An overall lovely dinner experience & highly recommended.
Nous sommes allés bruncher au Maggie Oakes récemment. L'expérience était parfaite ! Notre assiette (oeufs bénédictines), l'environnement mais surtout l'excellent service de Céphas, nous ont charmés. Je recommande ce restaurant sans hésitation à tout le moins pour le brunch !
Nous avons été servis par Pascal & son équipe exceptionnelle pour un brunch MTL à la table. Je n'avais pas été aussi bien servi dans un restaurant à Montréal depuis 2022. Très attentionnés aux détails & le bien-être de leurs clients, Pascal & son équipe nous ont fait redécouvrir le standard de service en restauration. La nourriture était délicieuse & chaque plat exécuté avec une attention particulière. Je recommande fortement ce restaurant pour vos moments en famille & ou entres amis. Sachez que durant votre expérience il y a une équipe sublime qui veille sur vous, & qui comprend bien que le service dans le domaine de la restauration est primordial pour passer un agréable moment.
Excellent restaurant. Top notch service from Louis. We started with a wine flight which was paired with an appetizer bite. 2 whites & a red. Amazing pairings & what a start to the good. Our starters were wonderful...a goat cheese salad & Pate for my husband. We both had the 46 day dry aged NY strip with vegetables & a bourdalize sauce. The yuzu cream puff dessert was out of this world. We loved our meal so much we went back a second night to see Louis again. I highly recommend Maggie Oakes!!!

Food was excellent we took the 35oz cote de boeuf wit vegetable & the cooking was perfect. Service was on point not too fast not too slow. Just a little point about the hotesse she place us at a small table while they was many free table but when the food came it took like 2min for the manager to come & add another table. Overall we had a wonderful night & we left with joy of coming back soon.
If you plan on hosting a large group I would definitely recommend Maggie Oakes! We were a group of 20 & from beginning to end it was a breeze. The service was on point (never an empty glass on the table) & the food was delicious! It will be my go to for all events from now on :) Thank you!!
Joli restaurant & super service! Par contre, nous sommes venus pour le brunch de « Montréal à table » & quelle déception... Formule à 25$ pour un smoothie peu goutu & une tartine à l'avocat sauf que l'assiette était très maigre, & mal disposée. Un petit toast & un demi-avocat... pardon?!!! Beaucoup trop de salade & celle-ci était mouillée!! Bref, la présentation aurait pu être un minimum plus soignée. Les oeufs n'étaient même pas disposés. Ça ne vaut clairement pas son prix. Mon compagnon a pris les gaufres avec un supplément à 9$ - en plus du prix du menu. Les gaufres étaient mouillées également, & la sauce avait un arrière goût désagréable. Cet établissement participe à un événement qui se veut être un minimum qualitatif. Ici, j'ai juste l'impression qu'on a perdu notre argent inutilement car nous avons fait de biens meilleurs établissements pour Mtl à table. Je ne le recommande pas. Un des pires brunchs de Montréal (qui pourtant avait l'air à la base très prometteur!)
