Review Summary

Lundis au soleil is widely regarded as a charming neighborhood staple, praised for its warm, relaxed atmosphere and consistently attentive service. Many diners highlight the high quality of the food, particularly the signature plancha chicken and the diverse selection of shared plates, which are often described as fresh, flavorful, and creative. While most guests appreciate the culinary experience, opinions on portion sizes and value are mixed, with some finding the offerings slightly expensive for the quantity provided. Nevertheless, the restaurant is frequently recommended for various occasions, from casual brunches and intimate dates to larger group gatherings, thanks to its accessibility and inviting environment.

A great small plate restaurant in Montreal with a good wine list & a relaxed atmosphere. A new fave.

Vacation mode, plated.
Golden plancha chicken, buttery potatoes glistening in their own comfort, & a glass of Italian orange wine catching the light just right. Simple, honest flavors, no rush, no schedule, just good food doing exactly what it's supposed to do. #Lundisausoleil #Montreal

The bread was dry & stale, & did not come with butter (I had to ask for the waitress for it). The vegetables were undercooked & hard. This was especially the case for the butternut squash & potatoes. The fish was chewy, fatty, & had a rubbery texture. All the sauces or cream meant to be in the dishes were served in a blob on the side of the plate, not directly on the food. The presentation of the food was aesthetically pleasing, but the taste left much to be desired in my opinion. My friend, on the hand, really liked the food.

The portions were small & there were few food options, almost all of which were vegetables. Not worth the money. The focus is clearly the wine, which was very tasty.

Appears as a nice little local restaurant. Service was good & friendly, Food was pretty good but expensive for what you get. Wine markup is what left a bad taste. $75 for a $25 bottle is way too much. Wouldn't go back which is a shame.

Fantastic service- they were never overbearing but every time I started to crave something, they seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Food value is very clear, why is it so good but so cheap? Why is chicken my favorite thing at a restaurant? Wine is clearly their speciality but they had a few beers to choose from. Can't wait to be back
