We were two moms out with our sons for a comedy night, & unfortunately this was the worst service I've ever experienced, & I eat out a lot.
This is the first time in my life that I paid a bill without leaving a tip. & only because the payment system only allowed four options: 18%, 20%, 25%, or no tip. I would have left 15% to acknowledge that she will be taxed, but since there was no option, I selected none.
I could go into detail, but the review would be very long.
What stood out is that once outside, there were several customers complaining & saying they also left no tip. That says a lot! This isn't an isolated experience, it's a service issue.
Needless to say, we won't be returning.
That said, thank you to the comedy host who offered us free tickets to another event...thankfully, at a different venue.
La comedy show était excellente la bouffe est délice & un grand merci pour la serveuse qui a ete toute seule & a fait de son mieux pour donner un bon service a tout le monde.
This was my first time visiting, & overall it was a good experience. I ordered the chicken sushi, which was really good & well prepared.
There was a comedy show that night, which made the atmosphere enjoyable. However, there was only one waitress working, so the service was slow. That said, it was understandable due to some miscommunication between the restaurant & the event organizers. The staff were not provided with the number of tickets sold, which affected the organization & service flow.
Despite this, the experience was pleasant, & I would consider coming back again.
Went for a comedy show, complete rip off. Charged an exorbitant amount for a beer & a rum & coke. Avoid if you can.
Sticky, dirty, over-priced, under-stocked. Just came back from a comedy event there (hats off to the comics btw!) who each remarked on the stickiness of the floor - multiple'strip club by day, comedy club by night' cracks that reinforced the general doubt that this dark, unadorned pool hall-vibed establishment was indeed a restaurant. Trying to get an order in before the show started was a fail, but we were encouraged when a waitress (who was reasonably pro) finally appeared. Then came the cryptically complex ordering process which yielded a lager beer selection that seemed to begin & end with Bud Light, & nothing whatsoever in the non-alc category, beer or virgin drinks. All the while we felt that the waitress hadn't gotten the memo about keeping it short, sweet & quiet, as she had come to our stage side table while one of the comics was in routine. After a few cringe exchanges, it was conveyed that Corona was also an option. We also ordered Onion rings. 12 of them to be precise, & for how much? $18 plus tax, plus a minimum tip setting that started at 18%. So quick math makes that $1.77 per cold, utterly tasteless onion ring, with dipping options that included overly hot, sickly sweet BBQ sauce or mustard. Requests for other options took about as much time to yield as our entire order. Bottom line, from the bad vibe atmosphere, el cheapo furnishings & terrible lighting, to the'I shoulda packed a snack & drinks' menu, Luna sure lives up to it name. Some advice to our comedy organizer friends: Scan the many great options on the south shore especially Dix30. At 22 bucks a ticket, though the comics were all great, the location was far from it.
This place is a joke. Amateurs.
Food was blah, service extremely bad. Tonight was a comedy show & clearly sold out. Yet they were severely unstaffed…We never got our water, the whole restaurant was served before our table although we ordered amongst the first. Never got our beer, my partner had to go pick it up at the bar after waiting for nearly an hour. By the time we got the food the show was almost over & the food was cold. The waitress was disorganized, dropped drinks on the floor, glass shattered everywhere. A client picked up the big pieces & placed it on his table. It took them 15min to come clean & another 45 to pick up the shattered glass from his table. On top of it he had to pay for his order. Ridiculous… This is not poor service, it's dangerous service. Bill errors, line up to pay for the food, unavailable items on the menu. We could have just left & no one would have known we did not pay. It was chaotic & no one apologized or offered a discount. Don't go there, spare yourself frustration & disappointment.
Beer was 7 on the menu yet they charged me 10 even though I mentioned it when it was time to pay. Service was extremely slow, one drink took 30 minutes & one dish took 60 minutes. The most ridiculous is that the tipping options are 18%-20%-25% without the option to change the percentage. You'll have a visit from the government very soon 😆
