I consider this shop to be one of the best expressions captured by an affordable food establishment in the city & province (& perhaps country). Yet I've been reluctant return for a few months now, ever since Michael left. Mike picked up the community from where Youssef left it. It's been a smooth relay thus far. But the memory of the chicken shawarma overpowered me today. I went in with my family, & the Michael/Youssef sized hole was not filled. It's a high bar, but a necessary one to meet, if Lulu continues to aspire to be a home away from home. Right now, it is not that. Right now, it's slinging the best shawarmas you can possibly eat in North America, that is certain. Somehow, they've made their shawarma sandwich better. Yes, I'll be the first to admit that the quality control of Lulu can at times be as unstable as the Quebecois government (especially the manakish), but when you come in at the right occasion, it doesn't get any better. Is Lulu a 5/5 food establishment? After today, no doubt. I didn't realize that the food alone could carry Lulu to greatness. Does Lulu aim to be more than a food provider? Evidently yes. So despite how impossible it may seem, finding the second-coming of Michael/Youssef is urgent.

The shawarma is by far my favorite I've tasted, but 2 times out of 3 when I go there it's either out of stock or not ready yet How you open at 9am & the shawarma is not yet ready by noon? It's super disapointing & makes the experience less than enjoyable despite the food being delicious.

Food is so tasty, there's a cute little indoor space to sit, & many Lebanese treats & merch to buy. Owners always greet us with awesome service. Went there so many times & will be back.

I just had the best manakish of my life. They baked it as you order & they add fresh veggies & mint (not that very acidic veggies that we encounter in other places, the real fresh stuff). I gave 4 stars to the ambience because it was not that comfortable to eat inside with small kids (they didn't reach the table properly). Ah, the swarma plate that was excellent too. I really loved that you can see the kitchen & notice how clean it is.
