Lucille's Laval consistently impresses guests with its vibrant atmosphere and high quality seafood and steak dishes. Many diners highlight the freshness of the oysters and the flavorful main courses, such as the lobster rolls and octopus, as standout elements of their experience. The restaurant is frequently praised for its welcoming and professional service, with many staff members noted for their attentiveness, expert recommendations, and ability to make patrons feel well cared for. While some guests find the setting lively and occasionally loud, the overall consensus points to a memorable dining destination perfect for special occasions or a night out with friends and family.
We celebrated Father's Day & chose the recommended shareable meat platters, which were excellent along the octopus salad. Unfortunately, the wait for the plates was very long.
Lobster rolls & octopus salad my favourites. So delicious & lots of great pieces of lobster in the lightly toasted bun. Always high quality of food & drinks. Great service!
Food wasn't good at all & overpriced . Had the octopus salad & didn't like it , grilled veggies were nit good either. The prices were ridiculous for whst you get
The Caesar salad & filet mignon were excellent! The service was ok. We were sitting in the bar area, & I found the tables to be too close to other parties. The noise level is quite high & we had a hard time talking to each other. Felt packed in a little, although it wasn't a full night.
On y revient certainement!
Not a good overall experience. Expensive for what it is. 1) Needed to give our name 3 times before being seated. 2) Tables are so close you feel you're having supper with strangers. 3) Atmosphere is ok but a little on the loud side. To be expected though as it is a fairly large place with alot of people, tightly packed in. 4) Food is mediocre at best. Had the surf & turf. The lobster roll was ok but the ribs were basically frozen store bought ribs that were reheated. Fries seemed like McCain fries. 5) My wife had the Salmon tartare with salad, which was good but so small that she could have eaten 2 more. For $29 a decent/normal size piece would be nice. When we ordered our meal we asked on several occasions if the food, specifically the calamari, were spicey as my wife is allergic to hot spices. The waitress confirmed they were not & even verified with the kitchen. Spoiler Alert: they were! Turns out, the waitress confirmed as I was paying the bill that the "kitchen" told her afterwards that there is (a little) Tobascco sauce in the batter of the calamari! Really!?! If someone asks if something is spicey (due to allergies), you should atleast warn, regardless of the amount! This whole place is a rip off. Will not go back, ever!
Went for lunch, great service, it wasn't too busy. We had oysters, grilled cauliflower salad, clam chowder, fish tacos, calamari & the angus beef tartare. Oysters: pretty good, not too many shell pieces to make it unpleasant. Cauliflower salad: great taste overall. Clam chowder: it was alright but I've had better. Too many potatoes IMO. Fish tacos: Fish was over cooked & ended up being dry. Calamari: nothing special, I've had better fried calamari in & around Laval. Angus beef tartare: really enjoyed it, texture & flavours were delish!
