I visited Lovebird while in Montreal as part of a larger group. The reservation process was straightforward, & they had no trouble accommodating us, which was great.

The biggest issue was an unexpected $25 per person entertainment fee that we only learned about after arriving. The hostess mentioned it quickly & briefly to the people who arrived early, & not at all to those who were later to arrive. Because not everyone in our group had arrived yet, & we'd already committed to the venue, changing plans wasn't really realistic.

What made the charge harder to justify was that our table was blocked by a half wall, so we couldn't actually see the quartet performing. We could hear the music, but from where we were sitting it didn't feel like we were receiving a premium live entertainment experience. Had we known about the fee beforehand, we could have decided whether that was something we wanted to pay for.

That said, Lovebird has a beautiful atmosphere. The space is stunning, the speakeasy concept is cute, & the cocktails were some of the best I've had in Montreal. Every drink we ordered was excellent (I had the Premier Regard (sweet, refreshing), & the Way Back(fruity, spicy)).

Overall, I had a great night & can see why people love this place. My only criticism is that any mandatory entertainment charge should be communicated clearly during the booking process rather than after guests arrive. If we had known about the extra charge we would've gone elsewhere. Personally, I didn't find the additional charge worth it & I wouldn't return to lovebird another time given the entertainment charge.

T'es belle place avec une ambiance exceptionnelle. Le bar parfait pour une date ou événement professionnel décontracté haut de gamme. Le show de jazz est parfait, un exemple à suivre.

Beautiful speakeasy bar - charming, cozy, with authentic decor. There was live piano music, & after beautiful jazz music. The lights were beautifully dimmed, service was excellent & empathetic (both the door staff & waitress). The drinks were good, but some way too strong. Staff is knowledgeable, so ask questions. Drinks are very expensive but for such a place this is fine. I highly recommend make reservations.

Went there with my parents, who came to visit for the first time, & thanks to Florent, the manager, we had an incredible time. The experience was filled with class, elegance, kindness, & attentiveness. Special shoutout to Brenda, who took care of my parents & me tonight as well! 10/10.

This place takes you back to the days of the clandestine Speakeasy. The atmosphere is sultry & intimate. The drinks were all creative & delicious. The cherry on top is the live jazz music. The duet from last night was superb. The staff were all welcoming & helpful. The only let down was the food. I know it's bar food but that doesn't mean it cant be tasty. Otherwise highly recommend this spot for excellent drinks, sultry atmosphere & great live music.

Stumbled upon this speakeasy while strolling around Old Montreal. Its entrance is unassuming but the interiors, drinks, & service were all a lovely surprise. The drinks tasted elevated & the intimate atmosphere was perfect for a date night or a night with good friends. Would love to come back for the live show!

I recently visited Lovebird in Old Montreal & was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere is elegant, intimate, & incredibly inviting, making it the perfect spot for a date night or a relaxed evening with friends. The cocktails were creative, beautifully presented, & expertly crafted, while the live music added a sophisticated touch without overwhelming conversation.

What really stood out was the attention to detail, from the stylish décor & cozy ambiance to the attentive & friendly service. Every aspect of the experience felt thoughtful & refined. If you're looking for a unique cocktail bar in Montreal that combines great drinks, live music, & a memorable atmosphere, Lovebird is absolutely worth a visit. I can't wait to return.
