I gave 1 star for the food because I had no option to abstain; I didn't get to try anything. Atrocious service, if you can even call it service. I stood at the counter, which was attended by 4 employees happily entertaining one another, I assume they're employees, but none of them had the motivation to greet me. This is the CORE location & it's just before 2 pm, does this place not sell after lunch? I guess I'll never know because I've already wasted enough time there for a zero result. Pass.

I used to work right beside the Blackfoot location & honestly had to be careful not to spend all my money there 😂
I've been to both the Blackfoot & CORE locations a few times & I love both of them. The quality is always so good. Their iced coffee is one of my favourites - I even bought their coffee beans to make coffee at work & they're seriously amazing. I also love their filled croissants, the Saint Laurent is sooo good, & for a while I was completely obsessed with their berry smoothie.
The service has always been really good too. Everyone is always friendly & welcoming.
I also love that the two locations have completely different vibes. If you want somewhere to sit down, enjoy your food with friends or family, or even work or study for a bit, I'd definitely choose the Blackfoot location. But if you're downtown, the CORE location is perfect for grabbing a coffee or something to eat while you're shopping, heading to work, or just walking around downtown.
I've also been to a few events where the pastries & food were from La Fayette, & everything was always super fresh & delicious. You can really tell they care about the quality.
Definitely one of my favourite spots in Calgary. I love it & always recommend it!

First time going had such an amazing experience! Tried the new strawberry matcha & soo delicious!! Definitely worth buying. Amazing service as well helping me through the menu & helping me out trying to figure out what I wanted!
I was surprised that none of the waitresses was able to respond in French & the one who served us needs to learn some kindness with the custmers. Other than that, the quality & the freshness of the food are good.
