Extremely disappointed with the customer service. A product was on sale for three weeks but never in stock. I was told to fill out a rain check form & would be called when it arrived so the sale price could be honored.
When I returned after the sale ended, the shelves were suddenly full. At checkout, I was told they don't offer rain checks & I had to pay full price. When I explained the situation, staff were dismissive & insisted they had called (no voicemail or missed call was ever received) & refused to honor the price.
If rain checks aren't offered, customers shouldn't be asked to fill out forms. I left without purchasing & will be taking my hard earned money to their competitor Avril as they remain kind & customer-driven.
I had been shopping at Tau for over ten years & had a very poor experience with new management in December. I asked for a refund on several of the same item that I bought on sale, but was charged for the full price. In the past, at Tau, this was never an issue & the cashier was always quick to rectify it & sympathetic. However, this time the cashier was unable to perform the transaction due to a mismatched bar code & the manager refused to help me. I explained that I worked in retail before & the item description on the receipt was identical to the product (as were all the numbers on the bar code save the last one) so could he process the refund anyhow. He refused. He was extremely disagreeable & was more interested in being right then understanding where the error came from & how to help solve the issue. When I got home I realized the whole box had been scanned originally when I purchased it & not each individual item so the last digit of the bar code was different. This is basic management skills.
There was also a strong language barrier as we were both speaking French as a second language & he had no knowledge of English.
I will be spending my money at other health food stores who have professional management & higher quality control.
Le vieux chinois qui travaille là m'a parlé de façon épouvantable. Il m'a manqué de respect à deux reprises. Il m'a répondu comme ceci: je m'en calisse. Je vais que chez avril désormais. Ils viennent de perdre 3 bons clients.
On ne peut rien commander en ligne . Tu appelles & on te fait attendre des heures & des heures. Les travailleurs ne sont pas compétents , alors ils se débarrassent de toi en te faisant attendre , au lieu de te dire si le produit désiré est disponible ou pas . Ils sont irresponsables & irrespectueux
Advertising an item on special that scans at full price & then saying that the special expired 13 days ago is nonsense & an abuse of their customers. They pretended its innocent but how can you advertise a special & continue selling & restocking for 2 weeks also laughably the manager is supposedly not able to offer the item based on the politique des exactitudes des prix but that I should come back another time.
The manager of this store is constantly playing games with the prices (trying to scam you into paying more than on the price tag). Have had many occasions where sale prices on price tags were not applied at checkout. When confronted about the'Scanning code of Ethics' they refuse to give you the item free, always using lame excuses about how the price is not wrong. I've also had to fight multiple times to get them to honor prices on tags! I've also seen multiple'Sale' displays where they mix very similar items not on sale in with sale items in hopes you will grab them by mistake. DONE with the games here, not going back!!
