Review Summary

Lefalafel is widely celebrated for serving fresh, authentic, and flavourful Mediterranean cuisine, with many patrons hailing it as the best falafel spot in Montreal. The menu features hearty portions of crispy falafel, tasty shawarma, and well-seasoned schnitzel, all prepared with high-quality ingredients. While the transition to the new Van Horne location has brought more seating and a modern self-serve ordering experience, some customers have noted initial organizational challenges during peak hours and occasional inconsistency with certain sides or pricing. Overall, the establishment is frequently praised for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and consistent quality, making it a highly recommended destination for those seeking a satisfying and genuine taste of Israel.

I loved the old location on Decarie even with very little seating. I will update my review when they are at the new location on Van Horne a little longer. Their fries & falafel on Decarie were beyond amazing, they need to work out the kinks in the new place. Wishing you all the best in your new premises!

Note: they're at 4677 van horne now. There's some seating now. They're still figuring out how to organize the counter area (I'm writing in April 2026), so I don't recommend going at rush hour if you're in a rush.

But the food is delicious! Really big falafel pita sandwiches, & the fries are tasty.

Whenever my dad visits from Vancouver he wants to go. :)

It's street parking but there were lots of open spots.
