By far my favorite breakfast spot in the city.
Delicious & ethically sourced coffee, amazing bread & tasty classics.
The veger pesto Benedictine was excellent.
The Chaï was excellent too.
It was a bit slow getting served but with the taste it shouldn't impact the score.
Best eggs benny in the city. I will fight you about this :) I come alone to skip the line on weekend but seriously the brunch never disappoints.
Le Vieux Velo is a very humble & charming cafe. The servers are gentle & accommodating. It is very bright inside. I can't recall hearing any music being played. Original artwork adorns the walls. We were seated immediately.
The menu is very concise. I believe they only do breakfast. We ordered the granola with fruit & yogurt along with the florentine eggs benedict. The food was very well prepared. The potatoes were very delicious. The small salad was dressed lightly. The hollandaise sauce was on point. Our taste buds did not really warm up to the coffee. It was a bit weak & lacking in a robust flavour for our taste buds. We are told however that it is very popular with many customers.
Two mains + 2 coffees was just under $50. If simplicity & good cooking is what you're looking for Le Vieux Velo will satisfy.
Very relax, small but perfect to get a brunch as Montreal knows to handle it.
Nice neighborhood.
It's been a while since I've been truly surprised by exceptional food. I can't adequately describe how delicious & flavorful the Eggs Benedict were, every bite was perfectly executed.
The hot sauce deserves special mention it strikes an incredible balance between sweet & spicy that's absolutely on point.
The pesto eggs Benedict was delicious. Quick service. Really cute place definitely want to come back. Definitely recommend 👍🏻👍🏻

Worst place in town!
Well, I had to read some previous comments about this place more carefully.
We were visiting the city during Grand Prix weekend & decided to stop at this place for breakfast.
I specifically asked the waitress about a waiting time (as we were heading to F1 race) & she assured me that the waiting time will not take more than 20 min. It took almost an hour! We noticed that they let groups of 2 in without any waiting time & suggested to them to put two tables together to minimize the wait time for groups more than 2 & improve their customer service.
As a result of this extremely negative experience, we didn't tip them at the end of the service.
The waiter with a metal triangle piercing in her nose, became very angry & even aggressive! She grabbed the water & our glasses from our table & told us that we need to leave the place immediately!
I really hope that the management of this place will read my comments & take the right action.
You cannot create artificial waiting lines as a free advertisement of your place. You also should be careful with who you hire & need to be aware of what's going on in your place in your absence.
What a shame to the city of Montreal!

The food was wonderful & inexpensive for the quality, however the choices are pretty limited. Our waitress was also very sweet & attentive. Will go again for sure

Prix abordable & nourriture fraiche. Café excellent.
On aime, on partage & on y retourne.
