Review Summary

Le Q.G. offers a cozy, rustic atmosphere in the heart of Tremblant Village, frequently praised for its charming, cabin-like ambiance and friendly staff. Many visitors highlight the restaurant as a standout destination for French-inspired comfort food, specifically noting the quality of game meats like bison tartare, duck, and beef cheeks. While some diners enjoy hearty, delicious portions and a great selection of regional dishes, experiences regarding service speed and consistency vary significantly. Some guests report exceptional, attentive service and an excellent price-to-quality ratio, while others encounter long wait times, issues with dish execution, or a smoky environment. Overall, it remains a popular spot for breakfast, brunch, and dinner, though consistency can be a factor depending on the night.

1h d'attente, pour qu'à la fin la serveuse me dit, elle n'a pas de contrôle sur la cuisine.
Une soupe affreuse, éviter la soupe aux épinard, un goût affreux 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Great little place. Pub food. French & French Canadian specials. Cool vibe. I recommend for breakfast or for dinner after skiing.

The service was amazing, answered all our questions. Unfortunately the food was lacking. They didn't have my ravioli, so had to order something else. Already waited along time so just picked something quick. Vegetarian pasta, under seasoning, lacking vegetables. Carrots & green beans, one pepper & one mushroom. Everyone else's food came out cold. My son did love his burger & fries. The brie cheese was great.
The atmosphere was warm & cozy

The experience we had at the restaurant was great. We came in after the dinner rush & they still accommodated us for full menu options. The staff are great very welcoming, fun atmosphere, restaurant is a smaller cozy one but feels spacious make you feel comfortable & relaxed. Food was delicious & lots of menu options. Definitely get the value for your money. Will definitely be revisiting when back in Tremblant.

Our visit was a major let-down from start to finish. Despite booking in advance for a family birthday, we were seated at two separate tables, which immediately set the wrong tone. When we asked if this could be corrected so we could sit together, we were told it wasn't an option.

The situation worsened when we realised our table was next to a damaged window, letting in a freezing draft. We raised this with staff & were told the issue was already known, couldn't be fixed, & that we should just order quickly & put up with it. This response was dismissive & unacceptable.
Service throughout was poor. The waitress was unfriendly & unwilling to help, & even our drinks took a long time to arrive - & were wrong when they did. At that point, we decided not to order food at all.

What should have been an enjoyable family celebration ended up being uncomfortable & frustrating, & it completely spoiled the occasion.

My daughter & I were sick all night & day after as we catch food poisoning. We ate bison, salmon tartare, mussels, frog legs & fish. Already a kind of expensive place & totally lost my lift tickets for the day.

So we read the reviews ahead of going to this place & we're prepared for a long wait for dinner. When we arrived, we noted that the restaurant was not very busy. There's a lot of smoke coming off the grill. Enough to make your eyes water but it wasn't as bad upstairs. That said, all of our clothes smell as a result.

The menu is interesting & varied. The dishes that were served were pretty good but I would not say outstanding. There's an extra charge for bread which is unfortunate because it probably would have helped with long wait. Our server was kind & patient, but it did appear that she was strained by the long waits from the kitchen. A lot of the guests were complaining about how long it was taking. I understand when you have a scratch kitchen that I can take a while to prepare food but it took an hour & a half for our meals to be served & to me that's excessive.

There are plenty of options within the village. If you're looking for a quiet evening & a long leisurely dinner, this might be a good fit. I would suggest ordering the bread service at the beginning of your meal so you at least have something to munch on while waiting.
