Three in our party & we all loved it. A quaint small restaurant that is full of life & has a nice background buzz. The food was fantastic. We had the lamb shank, duck confirm & a cod dish amd all were cooked to perfection & the presentation was excellent too. Very nice to be able to bring in our own wine & surprised to find there was no corking fee. A great experience overall. We will be back
Last year I was there to celebrate my first anniversary & last night I celebrated my second anniversary there! For sure, it's my favourite restaurant, food is amazing & the atmosphere is super cozy! I love it so much that I don't want to introduce it to my friends ! I would like to keep it especial for myself!
One of the best foie gras appetizers I've ever had. Excellent service, charming space, & most of all the amazing food!
Delicious food, gracious service, fun, relaxed vibe. Only wish they had a short wine list!
We dined at Le P'tit Plateau for my fiancée's birthday. We had already read the reviews about the place being small (as the name suggests too), so that didn't bother us. The service was great, the lady serving us was super friendly & helpful. She quickly & courteously switched to English when she realized my French is entry level (something that happens less & less in Montreal). The kitchen crew were really nice, every time I happened to look their direction, they'd offer a friendly smile. The food was great & very tasty. We had two appetizers & two mains, & happy with both. The only two factors that have room for improvement are: the chairs could be a bit more comfortable & the Foie gras portions can definitely be more generous. Other than that, all good :) We'd visit again.
I brought my friends visiting Montreal from San Francisco & they totally loved everything! The food was great, the service was great! Wonderful French restaurant! Highly recommend!
Delicious food. Great atmosphere. Knowledgeable & friendly staff. Can't wait to come back.
Unpretentious & intimate bistro style restaurant set in the ground floor of a typical plateau residential block. Tons of character & ambience. We were given a very friendly greeting upon arrival & shown to our seat. The a la carte menu & Table d'Hote option were limited (which is a good thing!) & I had no problem picking my meal. We were served very fresh baguette & butter to get us going. I ordered the soup & the braised lamb shank. This restaurant is a BYOB - which is fantastic as it means it nicely's wallet friendly. The food is authentic as it gets, my lamb was cooked to perfection & just melted off the bone, the vegetables perfectly sauteed. The perfect blend of quality & quantity.
This place was a real find. Just off the main streets of St Laurent & St Denis, but close enough that you can go back to it afterwards. Great service, super ambience & exceptional food - would definitely recommend for a cozy dinner or small groups. Probably not for young kids, but maybe that's just me. Will definitely be back.
