Ce café situé face au Parc Lafontaine est un vrai coup de ❤️ Ambiance chaleureuse avec un service irréprochable & attentionné. Tout ce qui est servi est super bon pour des tarifs plus que raisonnable (viennoiseries, pâtisseries, sandwichs, soupes etc...) un incontournable
My boyfriend & I are originally from Vancouver, we found this place the first time we came to Montreal & fell in love with how cute & peaceful it was. Over the years when we would come to Montreal we always visited here. Now, in 2024 we live 3 houses down from what we call "our coffee shop". We love the staff here, they are so kind & friendly & the variety of food & beverages means there's something for everyone. We are looking forward to being regulars here in the coming years.
Il était une fois, dans la ville animée de Montréal, un endroit unique appelé Le Picnic VéloCafé. C'était un café où les cyclistes pouvaient se reposer, boire un café & déguster des pâtisseries tout en admirant des vélos vintage suspendus au plafond. Un jour, un pingouin édenté & légèrement radioactif nommé Pingo fit son apparition au café. Pingo n'était pas un pingouin ordinaire. Il avait perdu toutes ses dents en mâchant des glaçons radioactifs lors d'une expédition en Antarctique. Depuis, il brillait légèrement dans le noir, ce qui le rendait très populaire lors des soirées disco. Pingo entra dans le café en glissant gracieusement sur le sol carrelé, laissant derrière lui une légère traînée phosphorescente. Les clients du café, habitués aux surprises, levèrent à peine un sourcil. Pingo s'approcha du comptoir & tenta de commander un café. Malheureusement, sans dents, il avait du mal à prononcer les mots correctement. "Un caffé, s'il vous plaît," dit-il en bégayant. Le barista, un jeune homme nommé Max, sourit & répondit : "Bien sûr, Pingo. Un café pour toi. Tu veux aussi une pâtisserie ?" Pingo hocha la tête avec enthousiasme. Max lui tendit un muffin aux myrtilles, mais Pingo réalisa rapidement qu'il ne pouvait pas le manger. Il regarda le muffin avec tristesse, puis eut une idée brillante. Il sortit une paille de sa poche & commença à aspirer les miettes du muffin, provoquant des éclats de rire parmi les clients. Soudain, une alarme se déclencha. C'était le détecteur de radioactivité du café. Pingo, embarrassé, tenta de se cacher sous une table, mais sa lueur phosphorescente le trahit. Max, toujours de bonne humeur, éteignit l'alarme & dit : "Pas de souci, Pingo. Tu es toujours le bienvenu ici, même si tu brilles un peu trop." & ainsi, Pingo devint une mascotte non officielle du Picnic VéloCafé. Chaque jour, il revenait pour son café & son muffin, apportant avec lui des sourires & des rires. Les clients venaient de loin pour voir le pingouin édenté & radioactif, & le café devint célèbre grâce à lui.
Le café est bien situé, leurs croissants sont vraiment bons, & c'est très calme. Il y a des prises, la musique n'est pas trop forte & très agréable pour travailler.
