Outstanding restaurant… amazing food…. probably one the of the best meal I had in my life (or THE best). We were 5 & shared the 3 appetizers on the menu (bar caldo, tomatoes & carpaccio). Plenty for 5 - taste & look were delicate & delicious!
Our table then tried scallops. OMG. Perfectly cooked & crispy finish. Amazing. The bavette. Not traditional piece of meat but good portion thinly sliced on a bed of heaven. Amazing last but not least the rib eye. Cooked to perfection. Tastes perfect. Looked perfect. Amazing!!!
Par un soir de décembre, on sortait du spa, on avait faim, il était tard & sur Wellington, le choix des resto était très limité. On s'est dit''Le prochain resto avec de la lumière, on entre !''. Voilà comment nous avons découvert cette merveille ! Le serveur nous a installé & expliqué le concept. La carte comportait peu de plats mais les noms étaient évocateurs & tout cela semblait délicieux, je ne saurais me rappeler du nom des plats puisqu'entre temps nous y sommes retournés pour leur menu dégustation & que le menu change régulièrement au gré des saisons. Mais revenons à cette soirée où chaque plat présenté est magnifique & où chaque bouchée était délicieuse, surprenante. Le serveur (qui est aussi un des 3 proprios si ma mémoire est bonne) nous expliquait qu'ils avaient ouvert depuis peu & qu'ils se donnaient quelques années pour décrocher une étoile au Michelin (à mon humble avis, ils sont bien partis). À ce moment-là, il restait encore des choses à peaufiner en salle & en cuisine. Nous y sommes retournés quelques semaines après & comme je le disais cette fois-ci pour un menu dégustation au prix très raisonnable pour des plats de cette qualité. On y retourne ? Très certainement & ce, pour plusieurs raisons, 1 / c'est délicieux, 2/ c'est vraiment délicieux & 3/ ça fait plaisir d'encourager cette équipe créative & dynamique !

Le Godot's tasting menu was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Each course was thoughtfully crafted, both flavor & presentation. For the price, you honestly can't beat the value this is high-level dining that doesn't break the bank. Every dish felt balanced, & we left completely satisfied, both in terms of food & the overall experience.
We'll definitely be returning to Le Godot. It's one of those spots where you leave knowing you've experienced something special & the fact that it's in Verdun only makes it more of a hidden gem.

On a pris le menu dégystation avec l'accord vin & chaque repas nous a jeté à terre! C'est rare d'aimer autant tous les 6 services. L'ambiance est tamisée, épurée, le service était exceptionnel
Food was good, I really like the sauce of the shrimp & the quail dish. The service was attentive. We were the first table & got the table beside the window. Will be back
Nous avions hâte d'essayer ce restaurant vu les excellents retours, mais l'expérience a été un peu décevante. Les plats proposés étaient créatifs sur papier, mais il manquait de punch dans les saveurs. Nous avons eu l'impression que la recherche esthétique & la complexité prenaient parfois le dessus sur le goût.
Fait intéressant, ce sont finalement les plats les plus simples qui se sont révélés les meilleurs, plus équilibrés & mieux exécutés selon nous.
Comme le menu change souvent, peut-être que nous aurions préféré notre expérience à une autre période.
L'endroit reste agréable & le service attentionné, mais pour un établissement qui se veut gastronomique, nous nous attendions à être davantage impressionnés.
