About

Le Georgia presents an authentic exploration of Eastern European and Caucasian culinary traditions. The kitchen specializes in hand-crafted khachapuri, featuring molten cheese centers encased in crisp, golden leavened dough. Patrons encounter a robust selection of meat-heavy Russian staples, including tender pelmeni and seasoned skewers prepared over open flames. The menu emphasizes deep, savory flavor profiles derived from traditional spice blends and fresh, locally sourced produce. Each plate reflects precise preparation techniques intended to highlight regional heritage through substantial portions. Diners experience an environment defined by rustic textures and communal seating arrangements that foster a focused focus on the consumption of hearty fare. The establishment maintains a consistent culinary identity centered on the preparation of classic dough-based dishes and slow-cooked protein recipes that define the signature flavors of the Caucasus and beyond.

Review Summary

Le Georgia is widely celebrated as a cozy, hidden gem in Montreal that offers an authentic and nostalgic culinary experience reminiscent of a home-cooked meal. Guests frequently praise the warm, inviting atmosphere and the high-quality, flavorful dishes such as khachapouri, khinkali, shashlik, and various traditional soups, all prepared with evident care. While the service is often highlighted as professional, welcoming, and exceptionally attentive, the overall ambiance makes it a favorite for those seeking comfort food in a relaxed, charming setting. Although some patrons noted a lack of Georgian wine options on the menu and occasional variability in service pacing, the majority of visitors consider the restaurant a must-visit destination that successfully captures the spirit of traditional Eastern European and Caucasian hospitality.

I recommend the Georgian salad (fresh!🌿) & Kharcho soup (very hot! 🥵 The bowl it's in keeps it that way!) that was served with 2 white & 2 whole wheat slices of bread with 2 containers of whipped butter. Also, the Satsivi. Be careful of bones & cartilage of chicken! Borjomi carbonated water of course but 10$ a bottle. You pay for convenience. They-surprizingly-have no Georgian wines! (You can order from SAQ online though! 😉 It's a stones throw from Snowdon subway station. They had a X-mas playlist that was chill. The waitress was professional but got my plates as I finished them like'hurry-up!' Must've been a long week for this lady! Would go again for a quick bite & have the rest @ home, at my leisurely! Call before reserving because it's not that big of a place.

Friendly service & the flavor was there in many of the dishes. Are maybe suffering a bit from an over extended menu which make them have things frozen for reheat? All in all good but not the fantastic experience Georgian food often is. Too bad that they dont have Georgian (or at least regional) wine anymore!

We went to taste Georgian food, & as a result got into a Russian restaurant, there was not even Georgian wine. The waitress girl didn't even wish it delicious. There is no service

Great experience! Our first experience with Georgian food & everthing was delicious. Even the dry Georgian wine that we ordered. Service was great as well. Friendly, accommodating & staff was more than willing to let us stay past closing time to finish our meal.
