Le Georgia offers a warm and authentic Georgian and Eastern European dining experience in Montreal, with flavorful and generously portioned traditional dishes such as khinkali, khachapuri, kharcho, borscht, and lamb shashlyk. The cooking highlights fresh ingredients and comforting, homey preparation, with praise for the authentic Georgian specialties that delight the palate and a decor that evokes the Caucasus. Service is consistently friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy with a subtle romantic vibe, and reservations are recommended as the venue is frequently described as a hidden gem with reasonable prices and a memorable overall experience.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I ordered shashlik, & what I received was completely disappointing. The meat was served cold &, even worse, it was undercooked inside. Serving undercooked meat is not just unpleasant - it's a serious food safety concern.
The texture was wrong, the temperature was wrong, & it clearly wasn't freshly prepared. It honestly felt like it had been sitting around & then poorly reheated, if at all. For a dish that is supposed to be grilled & served hot, this was a complete failure.
This kind of basic mistake should never happen in any restaurant. It shows a lack of care, quality control, & respect for customers. I couldn't even properly eat the dish.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place, & I definitely won't be coming back unless there are serious improvements in how the food is prepared & served. ( I ordered by Uber Eats)

?La nourriture est tout simplement exceptionnelle : les saveurs sont authentiques, les plats sont généreux & on sent que tout est cuisiné avec des ingrédients de grande qualité. Mention spéciale aux spécialités géorgiennes qui sont un vrai dépaysement pour les papilles.
?Le service de Valeria était impeccable du début à la fin. Le personnel est accueillant, attentionné & de très bon conseil pour nous guider à travers le menu. L'ambiance chaleureuse du restaurant vient compléter le tout.
?Une adresse incontournable si vous cherchez une expérience culinaire unique en ville. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter !

We came from far, by taxi to visit Geargian restaurant on Wednesday, unfortunately it is closed today & on their website it shows working. Very disappointed as we based our whole day around eating at this restaurant.
Fan d'excellente cuisine européenne ... absolument comblé ! Le jarret d'agneau etait fabuleux, la decoration extrement soignée, & le personnel au petit soin.
Une perle qui gagne a etre connue !
Somehow this place felt brighter & more upbeat than it used to feel. The food was delicious, the atmosphere relaxed & our young waitress exemplary.
We will return soon.

Prices are very appropriate. Soup Kharcho, Borscht, Vareniki with potatoes & Khachapuri were very good. Portions are satisfying, but not oversized & well balanced. Waitress served all courses as they should be served. It is very rare quality these days. Atmosphere is spot on post soviet! See the photo. Definitely a place to visit, just make sure you call ahead for a reservation! Indulge!
Our waitress was very nice & welcoming, in fact she welcomed us in all 3 languages that we spoke (French, English, & Ukrainian). She really made our time there feel like a true authentic experience (& shes funny too). Compliments to the chefs as well, which are straight from Georgia! The food is absolutely delicious, Georgian cuisine is truly an art.
It's a good old Russian cuisine restaurant in Montreal area. The portions are good size & can be shared as well. The service is very personalized & feeling of getting a home cooked meal
J'ai adoré l'authenticité de la cuisine géorgienne & ukrainienne dans le restaurant. Le décor était très représentatif de la Géorgie, avec des peintures & musique venant du Caucase. Les employés étaient très chaleureux & acceuillants. 5/5, je recommande.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Restaurant Georgia. We tried their homemade khinkali, & Valeria kindly told us that they are prepared according to an old traditional recipe. The khinkali were incredible - juicy, flavourful, & truly authentic.
We also ordered khachapuri to take home, & Valeria explained to us exactly how to reheat it properly so that we could enjoy the full flavour & texture without losing the original taste. This kind of thoughtful guidance made the experience even more special.
We asked about the banquet menu, & Valeria was amazing - she explained everything with enthusiasm: the prices, dishes, guest seating options, & capacity. She was extremely welcoming & made us feel as if we had actually visited Georgia, with real Georgian hospitality.
Her service was very professional, fast, attentive, & warm. She answered all our questions with patience, offered interesting information, & made our visit truly memorable.
A fantastic place with exceptional service - we will definitely come back!
This place feels like stepping into a dream as if I'm back in Ukraine, spending time with my relatives when I was young. So nostalgic!
The food was great, mostly Russian dishes with some Georgian items. We loved the lamb shashlyk!
My only suggestion would be to improve the service a bit, as we waited quite a while for water - & a smile.
J'ai pris le borscht en entrée - exactement comme il doit être : riche en légumes, belle couleur, super bon. Pas trop salé, juste bien balancé. Ça m'a vraiment rappelé un vrai borscht maison.
Pour le plat principal, j'ai choisi le poulet « Tabaka ». La portion est impressionnante - t'as pas besoin de t'inquiéter de sortir d'ici encore faim 😄 Le poulet était juteux, peau bien croustillante… parfaitement exécuté.
En dessert, le gâteau « Napoléon ». Un vrai mille-feuille comme il faut : léger, crémeux, délicieux. Merci au chef & à toute l'équipe pour un souper vraiment réussi. Je recommande sans hésitation !
Atmosphère ben cozy & super agréable, j'me suis sentie comme à la maison dès qu'on est entrés. Le service est vraiment professionnel, mais en même temps tellement gentil & attentionné - on voit que la gang aime ce qu'elle fait.
Côté bouffe… wow ! Le chef connaît clairement son affaire. J'ai commencé avec l'aubergine froide - simple, pleine de saveurs. Ensuite le Khatchapouri (j'ai pris le grand, parce que pourquoi pas) - une pure folie, le fromage fond dans la bouche, ça goûte le bonheur. Pour le plat principal j'ai choisi les Khinkali au boeuf : j'ai eu l'impression de retomber dans les saveurs de mon enfance… incroyable de retrouver ça ici, dans une si grosse ville comme Montréal.
& pour finir la soirée en beauté : un americano avec le gâteau « Medovik ». Les couches de miel étaient parfaitement imbibées - pas trop sucré, juste parfait pour clore un souper merveilleux. Honnêtement, j'vais revenir, c'est sûr. Je recommande à 100 % !
