A small bistro located in Villeray at the intersection of two side streets (St-Dominique and Guizot—hence the G) Restaurant Le Coin G is always a popular spot for lunch or dinner. On the weekends they also serve breakfast and brunch, but every day features new chef's specials with interesting ingredients, to keep people coming back for more. A lively bistro occupying a small space, Restaurant Le Coin G is both unpretentious and boisterous. The menu offers a great variety of options, from sandwiches and burgers to pastas, hot and cold appetizers (try the escargots or the crab cakes), salads, fish, the sausage du jour, pork, beef and more. The chef's specials are always appealing and vary from day to day, so you may have to make this a regular stop on your culinary journeys. Personnel ultra sympathique! Mauvaise soirée toutefois pour le tartare de boeuf; morceaux pas suffisamment fins, quelques croquants. Mais j'y retournerai assurément!
The atmosphere was friendly & enjoyable, as was the service. The food was well-prepared, attractive, & very tasty. When we're back in Montreal, we'll be back at "Le Coin G"!

La manager ainsi que les serveurs du restaurant étaient très courtois. Par contre, il y avait peu de staff par rapport au nombre de clients. Ce temps-ci ceci est normal donc c'est juste un constat. La nourriture est arrivée avant la bouteille de vin. La manager & l'un des serveurs se sont excusés & ils nous ont offert deux capuccinos gratuits. Étant donné les contraints dans l'industrie de la restauration ce temsp-ci, je crois qu'ils se débrouillent bien en générale.
Excellent service, terrasse très agréable.
Nourriture avec de bonnes portions & beaucoup de choix. Rien qui sort de l'ordinaire, mais quand on veut un bon souper en famille, c'est un bon rapport qualité/prix!

My partners salmon was quite dry & overcooked but my fettuccini à fruits de mer was fantastic! Very delicious. Very tasty mojito as well, although wish the glass was bigger! Really good service & cute terrace, we'll definitely try here again.
Cuisine à travailler pour d'authentiques saveurs. Quant ont parle de gratin de légumes, il faut un équilibre de légumes & non pas que des pommes de terre ou presque. Dans un grilled cheese bacon, fromage, tomate, il n'est pas compliqué d'y mettre du goût avec un fromage plus fort & du vrai bacon cuit sur place. Celui-ci ne goûtait rien comme le reste du plat. Le déjeuner mexicain avec des fèves au lard, ce n'est pas très mexicain. De plus, c'est sucré...
Ce n'est pas compliqué pour des mets aussi simples de faire les recherches d'ingrédients qui vont donner un goût plus authentiques. Nous avons été très déçu. Nous ne reviendrons pas, malheureusement. C'était meilleur dans les premiers mois & année d'ouverture.....
