via LibroWe were looking forward to this dinner for weeks. We have come for dinner before, & the food & experience was always incredible, so our expectations were high. Our experience this time around was very disappointing. We opted for the $100 tasting menu, as we've done previously. In the past we received between 5-6 courses, this time only 3. When we realized this I think our server could see we were disappointed & offered to add, at an extra cost, a cheese course to finish. The quality of food was good however the portion size was significantly smaller than our last experiences, & were primarily fish & vegetarian, we had one small piece of pork each. For a tasting menu of $100, the dishes were extremely disappointing & we actually left hungry. This used to be our favourite restaurant & we chose it for our special occasions. I'm not sure if this night was an anomaly, but I will definitely think twice about coming back.

Waitstaff- mature & warm w/ a strong sense of ‘the best of the best offered.'
Kitchen staffed w/ a diverse band of ‘young punk foodies' each dish is superb In presentation w/ bold flavors.
Razor clams, silky salmon sliced over a tangy potato salad, spaghetti rolled w/ blue crab. Let the waiter be your guide at this ‘perfect spot.'

This is a small, neighbourhood restaurant, but in my opinion one of the best in the city. It has a very eclectic menu, but the food is always fabulous. The staff are attentive & knowledgeable, & the wine list excellent.
I highly recommend doing the tasting menu, you will be pleasantly surprised.
If you want to feel like a local, this is the spot.
