Founded in 1889 by Joseph Bourdeau & Daniel Hatton, The Boating Club of Ste-Rose was the most renowned nautical club in the region. Located next to the Plessis-Bélair Bridge, near the Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, the club was mostly composed of English-speaking Montreal vacationers. The club organized regattas and social evenings as well as balls in the "Club House". 125 years later, with the initiative of a Bourdeau (as in 1889) and his group of friends, The Boating Club comes back to life! In this great project we find, among others, the group of co-owners of the Philemon Bar in Old Montreal. Zébulon Perron, the designer behind enormous success such as, Grinder, La Buvette à Simone, Furco. Francis Lorrain from Boucherie Lorrain in Rosemère and Gary Sousa our captain.

Some recurring caveats include noise and bustle on Fridays and Saturdays due to DJs and crowds, occasional delays during peak times, and occasional miscommunications about menus or dietary needs. Parking is mainly valet or street nearby. The staff are repeatedly credited with warmth, friendliness, and professionalism, helping create memorable experiences and often going the extra mile for celebrations. Taken together, Le Boating Club is viewed as a standout option in the area for quality food, strong service, and a vibrant atmosphere, with the caveat that it can be loud and busy at peak times.
This place is excellent. The valet parking is a nice touch. Service is very good. Food is even better. Keep in mind, this is a pricey joint. My favourite is the charcuterie board & the octopus.
This place is a gem! The drinks are very well made. The wine selection is very diverse & the food menu is very good too. The oysters are excellent, best I've had so far. As for the service, they take care of the clients for water refils, & asking how is everything often. The ambiance & the all around atmosphere are great. The decoration inside is awesome & the configuration of the space & seats makes it a cozy place to talk & enjoy food with a loved one or friends without being disturbed. There is a karaoke downstairs also. Will be back.
Nourriture délicieuse & serveuse super sympathique qui connaît bien son menu! Par contre, l'hôtesse était expéditive & insolente. Réservation à 18h15 avec mention sur Libro de devoir libérer la table après 2h30 (ce qui est tour à fait acceptable en restauration). La serveuse nous a gentiment avisé vers 20h15 qu'il nous restait peu de temps pour terminer notre 2e verre de vin & payer. Nous ne nous sommes aucunement senti bousculées. Par contre, à 20h25, l'hôtesse est venu à notre table pour nous dire : "Faudrait quitter, l'autre réservation est arrivée" (!!!) J'ai répondu qu'il nous restait du temps & que nous n'avions pas terminé notre verre. Elle m'a répondu avec arrogance que nous avions 2h30.... Ce à quoi j'ai repondu: 18h15 + 2h30 = 20h45.... Je connais bien le milieu de la restauration, mais je n'ai jamais vécu une telle situation. Nous n'étions pas en train d'étirer des verres d'eau, nous avions consommé pour plus de 100$ chacune & nous souhaitions terminer notre verre de vin dans le délai qui nous était alloué! Très dommage que les clients soient ainsi accueillis....& ainsi remerciés!

Très bon endroit pour faire la fête avec des amis ou même sortir piyr le fun, il y a du beau monde & une bonne ambiance pour faire des rencontres improvisées 😉 Je vous recommande cet endroit magnifique
La nourriture est excellente & le service aussi. Toujours une bonne ambiance & du beau monde. Seul hic, il manque un peu d'espace debout, si on est pas assis on a l'impression d'être dans le chemin.
Food was very good for the most part however the service was not. Took about 1.5 hours to get our food & plates were not brought all out at the same time to our group.
