La nourriture était très bonne. Nous avons eu un service très attentionné. Ce fut apprécié. C'est un restaurant où il y a beaucoup de bruit (musique & personnes festives) Nous le savions déjà.

Baked oysters were excellent.Its a great little oassis in a weird neighbourhood. Atmosphere was great & the vibe was electrifying. The scene around the bar was eclectic. Parking is so confusing. I highly reecommend this place.

Le vendredi 29 mai 2026, j'ai commandé six huîtres fraîches vers 19 h 30 au restaurant Boating Club à Laval.

De retour chez moi, j'ai été frappée par une sévère intoxication alimentaire. La seule autre chose que j'avais mangée ce soir-là était une entrée de crevettes partagée avec mon ami, qui, lui, n'a pas été malade. J'en conclus donc que les huîtres sont en cause.

Je n'avais littéralement plus la force de conduire pour me rendre à l'hôpital & j'ai sérieusement envisagé d'appeler le 911. L'intoxication alimentaire aux huîtres peut être extrêmement violente - je peux malheureusement en témoigner.

Je n'écris pas ceci pour démolir la réputation du Boating Club, qui est un endroit que j'apprécie par ailleurs, mais plutôt pour inviter à une très grande vigilance concernant la fraîcheur des huîtres servies.

Vendredi soir, j'avais justement demandé si elles étaient fraîches. On m'avait répondu que oui. Malgré cela, j'ai été très malade.

Je ne souhaite à personne une telle expérience😰🤢

Beware...place offers very limited parking. Otherwise food & service was very good. Rustic environment i.e. not many sitting tables so reserve early.
