Founded in 1889 by Joseph Bourdeau & Daniel Hatton, The Boating Club of Ste-Rose was the most renowned nautical club in the region. Located next to the Plessis-Bélair Bridge, near the Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, the club was mostly composed of English-speaking Montreal vacationers. The club organized regattas and social evenings as well as balls in the "Club House". 125 years later, with the initiative of a Bourdeau (as in 1889) and his group of friends, The Boating Club comes back to life! In this great project we find, among others, the group of co-owners of the Philemon Bar in Old Montreal. Zébulon Perron, the designer behind enormous success such as, Grinder, La Buvette à Simone, Furco. Francis Lorrain from Boucherie Lorrain in Rosemère and Gary Sousa our captain.

Nous sommes allés au Boating un mercredi. L'ambiance était beaucoup plus conviviale qu'un jeudi soir pour un souper en tête à tête! Nous avons choisi un braisé & la bavette (accompagnée un gratin dauphinois, délicieux! ) excellents! L'entrée de bufala & tomates tout aussi bon!
Le seul bémol, le prix des bouteilles de vin. Attendez-vous à 50% du prix de la SAQ, que l'on comprend bien, surtout que le prix des repas est plus qu'abordable!
La service était super en tout point , le personnel super gentil !

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Le Boating Club in Laval, & it was a flawless experience from start to finish. The setting is stunning - a perfect mix of chic, cozy, & vibrant, with a warm ambiance that makes you instantly feel at ease.
The food was simply outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented & full of flavor, clearly crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients & lots of creativity. From the appetizers to the mains & desserts, each bite was a delightful surprise. The cocktails were also fantastic - perfectly balanced & made with care.
What truly elevates this place is the service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, & genuinely friendly, always making sure everything was perfect without being intrusive.
Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner, a night out with friends, or even a place to celebrate something special, Le Boating Club delivers on every level. It's the kind of restaurant you leave already planning your next visit.
Highly recommended - definitely a gem in Laval!

Ma famille a tout simplement adoré. On y était pour la fête de ma mère & tout était parfait. Autant le service que la nourriture! Vraiment une belle découverte!

Repas de groupe un samedi soir sur la terasse chauffée. Excellente nourriture & super service en général.
Mon bémol, qui est assez significatif ; au début de la soirée, on nous demande nos allergies considérant qu'il s'agit d'un menu de groupe (nous n'avons pas le choix des plats). Je précise les miennes (mangue, pistaches, cajou, pas les autres noix). La serveuse me précise ainsi qu'il n'y a pas ces ingrédients dans le menu du soir & qu'elle l'indique à la cuisine.
Prendre note que je sais qu'il n'y a pas de risque 0 avec les allergies lorsqu'on mange au restaurant (contaminations croisées, traces, etc).
Au dessert, il s'agit de petites bouchées à partager. Je remarque un peu de vert sur l'une d'elle (Lime ? Matcha?) & j'entends mon entourage dire que c'est de la pistache. Je questionne la serveuse qui me confirme qu'il s'agit d'un dessert qui n'est pas fait par le restaurant & que les saveurs varient, dont celle à la pistache. Elle est restée professionnelle & s'est excusée, aucunement de sa faute, mais disons que j'ai trouvé ça ordinaire de me faire servir un plat comprenant mon allergène sans qu'on m'avise.... Je serais curieuse de voir l'avis des propriétaires à ce sujet considérant les impacts que ça aurait pu avoir....
