Founded in 1889 by Joseph Bourdeau & Daniel Hatton, The Boating Club of Ste-Rose was the most renowned nautical club in the region. Located next to the Plessis-Bélair Bridge, near the Rivière-des-Mille-Îles, the club was mostly composed of English-speaking Montreal vacationers. The club organized regattas and social evenings as well as balls in the "Club House". 125 years later, with the initiative of a Bourdeau (as in 1889) and his group of friends, The Boating Club comes back to life! In this great project we find, among others, the group of co-owners of the Philemon Bar in Old Montreal. Zébulon Perron, the designer behind enormous success such as, Grinder, La Buvette à Simone, Furco. Francis Lorrain from Boucherie Lorrain in Rosemère and Gary Sousa our captain.
Overall, patrons consistently praise Le Boating Club for excellent food and attentive service in a warm, lively setting that works for dates, celebrations, and casual evenings with friends. Dishes are frequently described as creative and generously portioned, with favorites including oysters, braised beef, gnocchi, seafood pastas, and standout desserts, while cocktails and wine are noted as well balanced. The ambiance combines chic and cozy with an open kitchen and flexible spaces, including a private room for events and a heated terrace that suits a festive mood. Some recurring caveats include noise and bustle on Fridays and Saturdays due to DJs and crowds, occasional delays during peak times, and occasional miscommunications about menus or dietary needs. Parking is mainly valet or street nearby. The staff are repeatedly credited with warmth, friendliness, and professionalism, helping create memorable experiences and often going the extra mile for celebrations. Taken together, Le Boating Club is viewed as a standout option in the area for quality food, strong service, and a vibrant atmosphere, with the caveat that it can be loud and busy at peak times.
J'adore le Boating comme toujours. Par contre, au 2e étage il faisait froid par moment (courants d'air extérieur). De plus, on nous a refusé une sauce extra avec le jarret de proscuitto sous prétexte qu'il n'y avait pas d'autre jarret en cuisson, une première! Au pris du jarret je doute que c'est trop demandé. Le service était plus lent qu'à l'habitude.

Service exécrable de notre serveuse dans un restaurant de grande qualité avec une superbe ambiance. Nous étions localisés à une table près du bar. La serveuse s'amusait follement avec ses collègues en se foutant éperdument de nous offrir du service, air bête & désintéressée. Très dommage pour une clientèle répétée qui a consommé 3 bouteilles de vin & 5 drinks, en plus d'entrées & repas. Le service fait toute la différence & avoir une employée de ce calibre serait inacceptable pour moi comme propriétaire. Autrement, j'adore ce restaurant & j'ai toujours eu une belle expérience. J'irai cependant dépenser mon argent discrétionnaire futur dans un restaurant qui saura m'apportez une expérience-client de haute qualité. Merci pour votre revue & bonne continuité.

Ce fut une soirée mémorable notre groupe de 32 personnes à été charmé & comblé! Tous les plats étaient excellent & la salle intime nous a permis de vivre l'expérience à 100% . Je recommande & référerais sans l'ombre d'un doute un party à cet endroit! Merci à Shan, Mickael & notre serveuse dont j'ai malheureusement oubliée le prénom. Soirée 5*

The food was very good, parking was a little difficult. If you want to go there simply to eat I wouldn’t recommend going after 7 pm, they dim the lights a lot & music is a little loud. Other than that, good experience. FYI, the muhammara dip isn’t the traditional one & we didn’t like it very much.
De plus, les petits jeunes valets conduisent comme des fous & ça ne fait pas professionnel ça donne pas le goût de leur laisser notre voiture entre leurs mains!
De plus le stationnement de ladite crémerie ne est pas très visible de la rue où ça roule en malade !
