We visited Le Blueboy after hearing a lot of positive things about it. It was a weekend night, & as expected, the place was busy. Even so, we waited more than 10 minutes before a lady came to serve us. I have to say, the menu was pretty overwhelming, there were so many options, but without any pictures to help guide us, it became quite confusing. I found myself unsure of what to order, so I asked the employee for suggestions. The only thing I was sure about was the beignes since I saw a picture & ordered them right away. We also decided to try the Oreo milkshake, Les Tailles churros sundae with solo flavor (we swapped caramel salé for choco caramel), & the Fresa shortcake. The Halloween themed decorations added a nice touch to the atmosphere, & the service was friendly. But let's talk about the taste. Overall, I found the prices fair compared to similar places I've visited. I absolutely fell in love with the Orleans style beignes. they were soft, freshly made right in front of us, & just delicious. The milkshake was also really enjoyable, rich with Oreo flavor. However, the churros sundae was a bit of a letdown, good, but not particularly special. The churros themselves were on par with what you'd get at many other places, & the sundae didn't stand out for me. The Fresa shortcake was decent, but again, I wasn't too impressed by it. In hindsight, I wish I had gone for the sorbet Tiger's Blood, it seemed like a more unique option that might have given me a different experience. Despite this, overall, it was a good visit, & I'd definitely come back specifically for the beignes, which were the highlight of the night. I just hope they revamp their menu style so that it's easier to navigate, making it quicker for people to figure out what they want without feeling lost.
The presentation is lovely. The taste is very flavorful. It gets crowded at times with lines going through the door, but everything mixes pretty quick. Likely atmosphere. Wall art & decoration give off vivid esthetics with a touch of an old grove 70s rustic feel. Indoor & outdoor seating allows you to enjoy the temperature inside or catch a feel of the weather outdoors.
Cute spot for a quick & tasty dessert! The shop was decorated for fall/Halloween when we stopped by. I tried a twist of their salted caramel & Witch's Brew (apple & spices), I highly recommend it if it's available when you stop by! It was a yummy mix of fall flavors.
Original options but way overpriced. Due to this. I only go once every summer. It makes no sense that a family of 3 taking the smallest of the options pay close to $30 for ice cream
My partner had a chocolate milkshake that was absolutely amazing, & perfectly sweet for such a high cocoa content. My smoothie I got was pretty sad. The fruit was still frozen, & sounded like rocks in the blender even after she finished making the drink. The fruit had no flavor even after thawing a bit, & the unfrozen fruit was mostly rind. Cute little spot, but stick to the dairy side.

L'endroit est beau, le service aussi. Cependant les glaces ne sont pas très bonnes. J'étais assez déçu surtout en lisant les commentaires. Je pense qu'il y a mieux à Montréal. & il y a aussi mieux dans le quartier.
I used to live & Montréal a couple of year ago & I loved coming here. Now I came back to the city for a visit, went for ice cream, & was super disappointed by the changes they made to this place. The ice cream is OK, but the previous format was so much better in my opinion: self serve, frozen yoghurt, many toppings, & price by weight. Now it feels super limited, & I wouldn't say the quality is as good as it was. It's also much pricier than other current (better) alternatives.
