Review Summary

L'Arrivage is widely regarded as a hidden gem, celebrated primarily for its stunning, serene views of the Old Port and the unique atmosphere provided by its location within the museum. Many guests praise the attentive and welcoming service, describing the experience as elegant and comfortable. While the menu offers a variety of well-regarded, delicious dishes ranging from quiches to unique duck-based offerings, some visitors have noted inconsistencies in food quality, particularly regarding preparation and portion sizes. Despite occasional mixed feedback on culinary execution, the restaurant remains a popular choice for those seeking a picturesque and tranquil dining environment.

My daughter & I chose this little gem to start our afternoon exploring of Old Montreal. The view was amazing & we were thrilled to get a glimpse of the Biosphere from our table! The staff were wonderful & attentive. Food was really good. We shared a goat cheese quiche & Croque monsieur was very good. It was a great start to our afternoon!

Discreetly located on the top floor of the Museum building, just take the elevator. No museum ticket is required to eat at the Bistro l'Arrivage. As far as we are concerned, we stopped there before a visit to the museum. The kitchen closes at 3 pm. The offerings cater to both light nibblers & significant appetites. They serve a wide variety of beverages & drinks. Large bay windows let the light in. A very plesant & harmonious background music, a splendid view o our beloved Old Montreal, a promenade that photo & video enthusiasts will love... that's the decor of the place! But the waitress REALLY made the experience SPECIAL. EXCELLENT service! . She welcomed us more like guests than like customers. & finally, the prices are reasonable.

We went there on a picture perfect clear cold Sunday morning for brunch. Milestone birthday celebration. Could not have picked a better place. Elegant & classy with an ultra calm serene atmosphere. Cozy & warm, with unparalleled vistas of the Old Port. Attentive, yet discreet service by our waiter,' Gabriel', was genuine & sincere. Cuisine absolutely delicious! French toast with duck. Unique flavor. Top notch kitchen. A true niche jewel of our city. Definitely recommend.

I normally have low expectations for museum food, but I had a fantastic lunch here.

The gochujang fried chicken sandwich was so good! It had lots of flavor, was perfectly crispy, & the fries are very nice. The poutine was pretty good too, even though im not usually a fan- we ordered two & one of them did have too much gravy. The quiches were nice.

Our server was fantastic, very friendly & thoughtful. The view from the restaurant is great, & its very convenient while in the museum to have a good place to eat.

The pasta was good. Unfortunately we also ordered both the kids burgers & the bison burgers & they were both charred to a level that was not appetizing. At the price we have to pay I expected better!
