About us
L'Ambroisie and L'Espace Canal are located in the courtyard of Chateau St-Ambroisie, a historical heritage building situated on the edge of the Lachine Canal in the St-Henri district of Montreal. Only a few minutes from downtown, the restaurant welcomes a business clientele and groups of friends, in a casual atmosphere. Stuart Abrams, chef and owner, invites you to discover his establishment, renowned for its terraces and elegant reception rooms.

Our Happy Hour are every Tuesday to Friday from 4pm to 7pm. In the summer, watch for our Thursday's Live music! on the terrace.

Private rooms for 60 to 250 people banquet formula or up to 500 people cocktail formula. We also have a private conference room with about 30 seats in the restaurant. Audiovisual packages available.

We have 2 large terraces with 200 seats, the first communicates with the restaurant and the second is on the waterfront, annexed to the Espace Canal for private events. Ask about our "4 season terrace packages" for your private events.

We recently had our wedding held at Espace Canal this past weekend & it was the most beautiful day. We were very lucky to have worked with Alexandra for many months leading up to the big day as she helped us a lot with any questions we had, many many emails were answered. She is a pleasure to work with & goes above & beyond the call of duty. We also thank her & Jaime for making sure that everything ran super smoothly on the day of as our coordinator. The wait staff & our Maître D (Toni) gave excellent service & people were very happy with all of the food that was served. It is a beautiful venue that is perfect for an outdoor ceremony held along the Lachine Canal with a beautiful gazebo in the garden area, making it all very magical. We could not have asked for a better wedding & highly recommend this place for a great venue location!View more

I had my wedding here & it was incredible! The staff is so helpful on the day of, you feel like a guest at your own wedding! & i didnt even have a wedding planner!
The food was delicious & all my guests said so. Even with a mishap with communication with the DJ, the music was great & the night was unforgettable.
Ambroisie is so gorgeous, it really is a beautiful place for a wedding.

A beautiful place, with a cozy elegance. I had the pleasure of flowering a wedding here, bud vase centerpieces, & a wild-style bridal bouquet. To date one of my favourite locations to flower. I also returned on another occasion to dine with friends at the restaurant, I absolutely loved the french onion soup, & the steak frites was very good.View more

Could not have asked for a better wedding venue. The coordinators & staff were kind & professional from our first tour of the location to when we were closing out the reception. We were able to have a menu that was everything we ever wanted. The food was so good that we had multiple guests ask if they could take some home.
Multiple times throughout the night, the staff brought food specifically for my wife & I to make sure we were eating. They were making sure to take care of us while we were occupied on taking care of our guests.
Unfortunately, it did rain on our wedding day so we could not have the ceremony outside. Luckily our venue coordinators, Alexandra & Alice, along with our personal coordinator Steph, came together to set up the most amazing indoor ceremony that we will remember forever.

Je suis allée à un party de Noël du travail le samedi 07/12 & c'était vraiment agréable. Au menu, il y avait deux plats : du saumon ou du boeuf. La salle était chic & parfaite pour l'événement, & l'ambiance était très plaisante. Le service durant le repas était efficace & tout le personnel était souriant & accueillant. Le barman était professionnel & préparait des cocktails délicieux, même pour quelqu'un qui ne consomme pas d'alcool :). En somme, une expérience très positive !View more
