I visited on a tuesday around 18h00 & I had 2 campechanos & 2 carnitas. Since 2 tacos were 12 CAD, I had really high expectations, but I was quite disappointed. The steak in the campechanos was really chewy & more than half of my'carnitas' were chunks of fat & skin. I asked to the waitress if something could be done & she just told me that's the way carnitas tacos are prepared. I mean, I've tried tacos at many other restaurants, including La toxica on Saint Laurent & carnitas tacos are not at all like that. The horchata was good & the green salsa too.

Went on taco Tuesday & wasn't disappointed.
The tacos were delicious! Service was quick & the waitress was very nice. The mango mojito tasted great & also the tres leches cake.
I will definitely return again!

There are a few La Toxica locations around Montreal, & people sometimes mix them up when posting photos & reviews. I've been to a couple of them, & this location is definitely one of my favorites, along with the Jean-Talon location.

You know the food is good when everyone at the table goes quiet because they're too busy eating. This was actually my first time ordering La Toxica on Uber Eats since I live pretty far away, & even with a 75-minute wait, it was 100% worth it.

The carnitas tacos are probably the best tacos I've had so far. I haven't found another place that does them quite like this. The al pastor is incredible too flavor-wise, it's hard to find anything that compares. I've tried a lot of taco spots around Montreal, & this is one of the closest experiences I've had to authentic Mexican tacos.

I enjoy Three Amigos, but it's a completely different style of food. La Toxica feels like the kind of place where someone's mom or grandma is in the kitchen making recipes that have been passed down for generations.

The Birria & the consommé is always packed with flavor. If you're not sipping the consommé after dipping your tacos, you're missing out.

Came here during our first night in Montréal & we loved it!!

The service was amazing, we got sat down immediately & our server took great care of us throughout the meal. She checked in with us, helped us out with our orders & was a great server in general.

Food wise, it was absolutely fantastic! Below, we got the birria tacos (2) & chorizo tacos (2) alongside a pina colada & a refreshing mango frozen margarita. The birrias were cheesy & fresh, & the sauces provided at the side of the table gave the chorizo a kick!

We will definitely come back again when we're in town!
