Just went today with my 2 daughters & my wife ! I'm Salvadorean & we lived in California & been in Mexico many times ! & this is the first Mexican restaurant that is similar of authentic! In Montréal! Food is good ! Service is to the top ! #1 Mexican restaurant for us in Montréal definitely we are going back!
Stopped by La Toxica for some tacos, & it was a decent spot for authentic Mexican flavors. The birria tacos were flavorful with tender beef & a nice consomé for dipping. Portions were generous, & the prices felt fair for the quality. That said, the service was friendly but a tad slow during the lunch rush. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're in the mood for tacos, but I'll probably try a few other places on the street next time to compare. Worth a visit if you're nearby!
Recomendado los taquitos de birria, 9.5, la sopa de tortilla le doy un 8.5, pero los tacos de tripa y res se les pasa de grasa, hay que pulir mas, lo siento, soy de México y soy exigente con la comida mexicana.
Hands down the best Mexican food we've had in Montreal!
We brought our entire team to La Toxica for a team-building dinner & were absolutely blown away. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel like family, the service was warm, welcoming, & super attentive, thank you so much Valentina!
& the food? Incredible. Every dish was packed with flavor & authenticity, you can really taste the love they put into their cooking. From tacos to the sauces, everything hit the spot. The vibe was perfect for a group, & we left full, happy, & already planning our next visit.

Everything you could from Mexican food at such good prices. Had a lot of favorites of jarritos. We came in late & they were still able to serve us because the service is that fast.
I am mexican! & I was really missing the mexican taste of food. I visited various mexican restaurants, but La Toxica had one of the best flavors so far. I ordered the birria tacos with an orchata water. It was delicious! The salsas are great, I loved the green salsa's flavor.
