Stopped by La Toxica for some tacos, & it was a decent spot for authentic Mexican flavors. The birria tacos were flavorful with tender beef & a nice consomé for dipping. Portions were generous, & the prices felt fair for the quality. That said, the service was friendly but a tad slow during the lunch rush. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're in the mood for tacos, but I'll probably try a few other places on the street next time to compare. Worth a visit if you're nearby!
Absolutely taco'bout a good time! Despite the Friday night buzz (clearly, everyone else had the same brilliant idea), we scored big with generous portions that could satisfy even the hungriest foodie. The birria tacos, vegetarian tacos, & a quesadilla joined our table.... each one a flavor fiesta! The space was lively yet perfect for conversation, so we could actually hear each other rave about the food. Pro tip: come hungry, or be prepared to leave with a deliciously packed to-go bag.

this is hands down the best thing i've had in montréal since i've arrived i couldn't believe it yes i spent $37 but i don't regret it at all……… birria torta & 2 birria tacos (don't underestimate the portion i had to take most of it home) it's crazy like if you're thinking of going, go!! this will change your life i know it changed mine
we stopped by for a quick taco lunch because every day you have tacos is a good day. We decided to heed the sign & get the house specialty - Tacos de Birria. We received four very large & satisfying tacos with a lovely broth on the side. Packed with both meat & cheese, these tacos will not leave you hungry; in fact, we couldn't even finish them. So, you definitely get a bang for your buck here, portion-wise. We loved the soft yet crispy tortilla & the tender, well-cooked, & seasoned meat.
I am mexican! & I was really missing the mexican taste of food. I visited various mexican restaurants, but La Toxica had one of the best flavors so far. I ordered the birria tacos with an orchata water. It was delicious! The salsas are great, I loved the green salsa's flavor.
