The prosciutto melted in my mouth. It was like butter. The focaccia was crisp on the outside & moist on the inside.
Overall, it was an awesome experience. The sandwiches were delicious, & the warmth with which we were greeted by Pino was incredible. He is passionate about the food & connecting with people.
Very disappointing. Was expecting an amazing Italian sandwich with generous ingredients but instead I got a basic sandwich with one small layer of salami. For the price, not worth it. Bossa is far more good.
Did a nice takeout today, food is very good, tried everything 10/10, would be nice to have a few other sandwiches choices with Capocollo or Fantino that's the only suggestion we'd have, great staff!
A lovely addition to Notre-Dame street. The food was delicious & they had an extensive + authentic Italian menu. I had tried their'La Parma' sandwich as well as their arancini. The tomato sauce that went with the arancini was awesome. The flatbread they used for the sandwich was great & authentic. The fig jam with the prosciutto is such a supreme combination! The only point of improvement for me would be to pack the sandwich a little more. It needed some more substance. But otherwise, service was great, the decor was cute, & it was nice vibes all around. I'll definitely be going back!

In a city that often surprises with its culinary undercurrents, La Scacciata is one of those rare finds. I swung by for the first time one evening with some friends & was immediately struck by the owner's genuine hospitality & a generosity that went beyond mere portions. Inviting me to leave the decision in his hands, he whipped up a meal that spoke volumes about his passion for quality & craft.
He prepared me the Tortelli pasta & paired it with a soon to be released carpaccio sandwich that was as artful as it was delicious. To wash it down, I tried the Negroni Sour. It was a cocktail that delivered a smooth, robust character without overwhelming an alcohol aftertaste, a true testament to careful mixology. I ended up lingering there until closing time, immersed in the experience of good food & even better company.
This isn't just another Italian restaurant; it's a spot where culinary integrity meets heartfelt hospitality. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Montreal, eager to see what surprises await on the menu.
Cute new spot. We tried the sandwiches. The bread was very good but sandwich just didn't have enough substance. Very little cold cuts, very little sauce or condiments. For 40$ for two sandwiches, it was pretty underwhelming & not filling. In comparisons, at other spots in Montreal, one sandwich to share is more than enough for us.
I tried the bologna & parma sandwiches & they were an 11/10. The bread was extremely fresh, the cheese was delicious, & the creamy pistachio sauce was fantastic. It is definitely a must try restaurant.
We had 3 different sandwiches, & all were delicious! Really fresh ingredients & the homemade focaccia bread was perfectly salty & crispy. The best sandwich was the bologna the combination of pistachio & ricotta was sooooo creamy & delicious. I can't wait to go back & try more!
