La Piazzetta serves a wide variety of thin crust pizzas prepared with artisanal dough and diverse flavor combinations. Each culinary creation features fresh toppings sourced to ensure consistent quality across every prepared meal. Beyond the pizza selection, the menu emphasizes crisp salads crafted with seasonal greens and house-made vinaigrettes that complement the Italian profiles. The interior space utilizes an open layout that maintains a functional and accessible environment for patrons. Patrons encounter a straightforward approach to food preparation that prioritizes the structural integrity of the crust and the balance of traditional ingredients. This focus on standard preparation methods ensures that every dish maintains a recognizable flavor profile consistent with established Italian-inspired casual dining expectations. The consistent execution of these specific dishes defines the primary operations within this food service establishment.
La Piazzetta offers a sophisticated atmosphere and an inventive menu that many guests find delicious, particularly highlighting the quality of the pizzas and specific desserts. While several visitors enjoy the warm decor and professional service, others report inconsistent experiences marked by significant wait times, issues with portion sizes, and occasionally inattentive staff. Opinions on value for money vary greatly, as some patrons feel the meals are reasonably priced for the quality, while others find the offerings expensive relative to the amount of food provided. Overall, the establishment remains a popular destination that delivers excellent dining moments for many, despite some frustrations regarding service pacing and kitchen efficiency.
We came in, family of 5 with our 6 year old, & arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 pm. We ordered shortly after, also an anglophone family, & were completely forgotten about! Waited until 9 pm & at that point had only received our drinks, & salad that we had asked to eat with our mains (no mains had arrived). When we politely asked the staff what is going on, they turned it onto us, they did not apologize, they were rude, told us only 10 more minutes until the food comes (after having waited an hour an half) & there was still no food after, we walked out of the restaurant & they still did not acknowledge/ apologize for their racist service. Only ran out to ask for their tip, after we still paid!!! Not a single apology for anything!? I have never had worse customer service in my life. We watched everyone being served, eat their meal, walk out, while we still had not even been checked up on once?! The problem was not just about waiitng, it was about the attitude of the staff, we even noticed them laughing in the back while we were waiting this whole time. I am not a kind of person to write a review but this was just hurtful.
Second time at this location in Magog (also visit in Granby). This time for birthday & anniversary for parents. Great location & with windows open, its like being on a patio in Italy. The menu is excellent for food & drinks. Wonderful variety & not too excessive in choices. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food (Pizzas & a new Asparagus, prosciutto & goat cheese salad). Food quality to price ratio is excellent. Service was professional & friendly. Great ambiance too. A must go in Magog. Ciao & grazie for the wonderful experience. Parents were elated & impressed. Cheers!
A bit over priced for the salads, but pizza tasted good. The escargots were hidden with the mushrooms, so there were probably six of them? Not great for the price.
The kids meal dinner came out extremely fast, but we had to wait almost an hour for the other dinner items to come out.
It was Friday night & the place was busy, which is not ideal because they are severely short staffed in the kitchen.
I recently dined at this place & it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The cozy ambiance, with its warm lighting & rustic decor, transported me straight to a charming village in Italy. The menu was thoughtfully curated, offering a delightful range of authentic Italian dishes. The pizza & the salad was really nice. Service was impeccable, with attentive & knowledgeable staff who were happy to recommend dishes. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just craving authentic Italian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I can't wait to return! Rating: ★★★★★
Caesar salad was very good. Pasta was bland & clumpy. Asparagus was mushy & damp. Veal was tasteless & rubbery. Sauce was almost flavorless. I suspect the entire meal was microwaved (). Service was incredibly slow, although she was very nice. Nice room.
