I grew up in Laval West & have been going to this ice cream place since I'm a little girl in the 1970s. &, I own a commercial building nearby.
I decided to share my Marquise childhood experience with my two grown children by taking them there one Sunday in August 2026.
The girl serving us refused to speak English - did not even try - did not even ask a colleague to help out. I am perfectly bilingual but as an English speaking Quebecor & where there is no effort made, I will gladly switch to French. Bringing politics into customer service, really?
My parents operated a well known business in Laval West for years! Bilingual !

I later called Marquise & ended up speaking with, what I later found out to be, her assistant at the time of Service. Funny how the assistant knew the story but on the phone claimed she had no clue that there was an issue with Language & that we should've asked for someone who could speak English. I don't know why I would be the one asking for someone to speak in English & not the person serving. Then the assistant began an argument about living in Quebec & how French is the official language. English isn't important therefore the English are trash?. I told her how disrespectful that attitude is to the English people.
I requested a callback from the owner & it's been over one week, I'm still waiting! The assistant assured me that the owner feels the same way about the language being spoken in service - French only 🤣. So I guess the English speaking people are not welcome at their place. Maybe English speaking Québécors aren't welcome anywhere in their own province. As though the English didn't contribute anything - ever.
Putting that aside, their ice cream was nothing to speak of, very bland, ice milk really! flavours were limited. The three of us will not be going back ever again to this attitude business place.!
Not sure how impactful our experience was, but I do know that word-of-mouth has an impact on business.
Who the hell owns this place now? Substandard. With wonderful new businesses in this field, popping up all over & with attitude like that, you'll be bringing that business down to the ground in no time!

Gotta love it when people drive two blocks to get ice cream. For Pete's sake, use your body! You're already getting fat with all these tasty treats.

Crêmerie avec beaucoup de choix. Les cornets de crème glacée trempée au chocolat belge , noir fleur de sel, étaient excellents.
Attention les ?portions sont énormes. Le format mini est amplement suffisant.

The brownie sundae here is just as sweet as I am, though the extra whipped cream definitely gives the dessert a run for its money. You had a great view of the Bears game tonight, but trust me, I am the better catch. Slide into my messages if you agree.
