Yes the food can sometimes take a min to arrive but IT'S WORTH IT . The first page of their menu openly states that the food takes a while because everything is homemade! The people who run this place are lovely & the portions are huge. Forget the other Mexican restaurants in the area - THIS IS THE SPOT
Very disappointed. I do not recommend this place. The service was extremely slow (1 hour & 30 minutes to get our food), & the dishes were just average. Go elsewhere for authentic Mexican food. The only positive point was their margarita.
Très bon restaurant familial. La nourriture est super bonne & les portions sont généreuses (beaucoup d'accompagnements). J'ai particulièrement aimé les tacos de poulet. Grand choix de boissons aussi. J'y suis allé avec un groupe & le service était très rapide dans les circonstances. Le serveur était sympathique. L'ambiance mexicaine était bien là. Bref, je vous le recommande!

service is friendly but slow. everthing is made fresh; take your time & drink in the ambiance.
I ordered 3 tacos to go which were delicious but my rice portion was literally in ONE pill cup, which was bland. Same with the beans. You have to make sure to eat the tacos right as you get them or else the meat becomes chewy.
It was nice to have an extra bag of nachos I didn't expect but not enough guacamole to go with it.
The sauces were not spicy at all (red & green).
If you want a better portion I recommend dining in.
Je suis allée deux fois dans ce restaurant, & j'ai été séduite les deux fois. Burrito la première fois, enchiladas la deuxième, des plats copieux & goûteux. Le service était très bon aussi. Nous avons pris un pichet de sangria, mais la prochaine fois je prendrai un cocktail, ils avaient l'air délicieux! Ah, & puis je n'ai pas pu résister aux churros... des vrais churros mexicains, un régal!!! Je recommande.

Delicious authentic Mexican food. Margaritas were great. We ordered the enchiladas with mole sauce & it was incredible. Food tasted very fresh & you definitely get more than enough with one portion
Je partais en toute confiance à ce petit restaurant de quartier, ayant de bons souvenirs de l'endroit & de sa nourriture. Hier soir était la fois de trop. J'ai choisi les quesadillas en précisant'queso' (fromage) à la serveuse ainsi que'sin carne' (sans viande) car je suis végétarien. En effet, j'avais le choix entre des quesadillas au poulet ou aux légumes ou au fromage... J'ai donc commencé à manger mes quesadillas mais au tiers de l'assiette à peu près, j'ai repéré un effilochage d'une matière que j'ai vite deviné être du poulet. A la question que je lui posais -'Que es eso?' (qu'est-ce que c'est ?), la serveuse a confirmé mes craintes. J'ai donc repoussé l'assiette & dit que je ne la payais pas.
Quelques minutes plus tard, j'ai raconté ma mésaventure au patron, fils du fondateu du restaurant, pour m'entendre dire en défense de la serveuse que'carne' au Mexique signifie'viande rouge', la serveuse ayant cru donc que je disais ne pas vouloir de viande rouge. Problème, il n'y avait pas de viande rouge entre autres options pour les quesadillas.
Non content de ne pas excuser la faute professionnelle de la serveuse trouvant des justifications impossibles & de ne pas s'excuser, la manager a jeté la note sur la table, ce qui a déconcerté les autres convives.
Avis aux végétariens comme moi : Passez votre chemin. Les restaurants mexicains ne manquent pas à Montréal où vos desiderata seront bien mieux pris en compte !

Heard good things so decided to check it out. With all the great Mexican that Montreal has to offer, this is definitely NOT worth the detour. The food was ok. Not terrible but definitely forgettable. Quite bland & quite wet, as though the ownership hasn't paid attention to how Mexican food has evolved in recent years. Both appetizers & mains were very mid, generic, cafeteria like slop.
The service was atrocious. It seemed like an effort for any of the staff to even crack a smile. For a restaurant barely half full on a Friday night, an extra effort would be worth it. We ordered cocktails & appetizers & the food came out before we even got our drinks. I ordered a second Margarita & it never came. My complaint to our server got'I don't normally even work the floor so you should be more understanding'. I wasn't too upset as just like the food, the cocktails reminded me of a tourist trap style restaurant anyway, so maybe they did me a favour by forgetting.
To summarize, if you want to experience a slightly worse, Mexican version of Olive Garden, this place is for you!
