One of the best experiences I've had! Without giving up too much, this is one of the coolest places Montreal has seen in a long time!! It's full of surprises, it takes you back to a time where life was simple! The atmosphere is superb, cool & the best part is you also get to mingle with other people - my friend & I had the experience of lunching with a woman who was by herself, who was super interesting & who was loving her every bite! So this is what takes me to the food - excellent quality, extremely tasty, all made with love & care. My friend & I shared the tuna & vegetarian sandwiches, which melted in your mouth, we also each had the fried potatoe balls (a must!!!) & I had their homemade (yes, homemade) ice-cream soda float (even the ice-cream is homemade!!!). This place is full of quirky surprises, including homemade chocolate!!! The owner - super kind person; prepared everything with love & waitresses, are very welcoming, pleasant & so nice! If you haven't been yet, you're missing out!! A newly found gem of which we will visit again!! Just go see for yourselves, you will not be disappointed! Rating is deserving of a 5 on every single count!!!

Nous avons été a La Folie & c'était absolument fantastique!! Le décor est surprenant & le service hors pair! Parlons nourriture... les sandwiches sont goûteux avec des ingrédients de choix & les boules de pommes de terre j'en rêve encore !

The vibe & overall experience, in this retro-inspired unique concept, serving up the most delectable sandwiches, sodas & sides, was a very warm & welcoming experience, making you feel relaxed & completely at home.
The staff & owner were both gracious & wonderful, taking much pride in all that La Folie has to offer.
It's a definite'must-try' destination experience, as well as a highly palatable delight!

Ça faisait un bon moment que je n avais mangé un club sandwich aussi bon.
Mon fils a pris le deli italien.
On a joué à un des jeux de société style rétro sur place.
J ai hâte d y amener mon plus jeune garçon .

Très bizarre de voir un commentaire négatif … c'est un endroit hors du temps ! Une ambiance unique & les sandwichs étaient délicieux … vraiment bon !!! Tout est fait maison , la sauce avec je crois un soupçon de balsamique apportait une note intéressante … j'aurai bien aimé pouvoir manger deux sandwichs tellement c'était bon mais les portions sont généreuses !
Je vais y revenir c'est sûr !
La deco donne une ambiance intimiste d'une autre époque . Service agréable . On voit que les propriétaires y ont mis tout leur coeur . À essayer … & y retourner !!

If you're on Monkland, you should really stop by la folie. Sandwich is immaculate & the fluffy potatoes feel like your bitting in a little cloud of pure joy with their homemade sauce ( I believe it's home made ketchup ) !
They made a little hole on top of the potato box so it doesn't become soggy with the steam. Phone number is also on the last picture !

Very tasty!! Extremely unique atmosphere & fun vibe especially on a rainy day, the sandwich was so satisfying. Highly recommend those potato bites they were like little clouds of deliciousness

Monsieur Folie's is the coolest place in town! A sandwich shop that doubles as a nostalgic speakeasy with Tom & Jerry on the tv? You've got my attention. Not to mention, the sandwiches were beyond delicious. We tried the Deli, a classic Italian sandwich but with a sweetness to it. & the Vegan sandwich which made me fall in love with baked chickpeas. The price point might deter some but add it to your list for lunch with a date! The friendly staff & video games make the meal an experience! Shaggy & Scooby doo would approve of'La Folie' ✨
