Many note the setting as a highlight, with a warm, old world mood and a sense of place that transports guests to Paris even in Montreal. While prices can be a bit higher and a few maintenance or service details are mentioned as areas for improvement, the overall experience is described as charming, worthwhile and likely to inspire a return visit.
We wanted to eat a croissant so we went to came here & we got a croissant. Or two. & they were magnificent. It's all in the butter & they get it right. Buttery, flaky heaven in a roll.
We also loved the europeen vibe, the old chairs, cash register, ornamental coffee machine & the over vintage decor. & the fact that they serve alcohol & are open from 8am until 11pm makes it a rare type of establishment.
Where they lose points for us however, unfortunately has nothing to do with their croissants. A detail but enough for us to remember it.
If you're going to charge 4.25$ for a cup of tea don't serve "four o'clock" brand tea in a bag. Either do it properly or don't sell tea at all.
Tasty, great ambiance very cozy & french. The food is really good. Their baguettes are amazing. Good service too & reasonably priced. The only thing is their dining chairs are super uncomfortable.

Neighborhood terrasse for your coffee, croissant & anything in between. I’ve been to this place over the past decade & the service has always been consistently great. I’ve had a chance to try many things on their menu & it’s always a place where we may end up choosing to soak up the sun, have a French lunch, have a special for dinner, have a late night snack (it closes late) or even have a late coffee/ wine & dessert. The menu is long but I’ve always liked their gondole chicken sandwich, their carrot juice & their almond croissant. The inside is art deco Paris & it feels like you’re sitting in Europe. The outside is full of vividly colored flowers & is probably one of the places in the area that gets the most sun. I suggest you go there & try it even if it’s just for a glass of wine.
Pros: food, coffee, decor & service
Cons. European level expensive.
The coffee was superb. The chocolatines were (so I am told) epic. The grilled cheese sandwich was buttery & springy while caramelized on the outside. The room is very romantic, old brass & embossed ceiling ornaments, old fans, & period lighting harken the roaring 20's with plenty of patina. Our waitress was wonderfully pleasant, but not overly zealous.
But oh my Lordy Gordy, it was pricey. 2 coffees, three chocolatines, & a grilled cheese came up to 48$ with tax & tip.
I left pleases & satisfied. But I will only return when I am feeling rich.

La Croissanterie Figaro was one of my favourite places to eat during my latest trip to Montreal in October 2021. Cozy & delicious, I recommend trying them. A must eat place in Montreal: https://mybeautifulpassport.com/must-eat-places-montreal
Always pleased with the quaint environment. It's mainly nice in summer for the terrace. Bad points; services isn't at par, the girls are rude & arrogant ( waitresses) - one of them has been there the longest is still nice. They give the check too soon, they take forever when you ask for water, lastly the food isn't great, just ok, this isn't something you can't make yourself at home, but I still like it for the general ambience.
