About us

Our family is proud to share our passion with you. From generation to generation, La Campagnola has never stopped growing and refining itself.

La Campagnola first started in 1981 as a small Deli in the area, then in 1995, became a more popular sandwich shop (Camps), to later transform itself into a Bring Your Own Wine restaurant in 1999 with recognized homemade specialties throughout Montreal. In 2009, we decided to start aging quality canadian beef to add to our menu.

Living in a changing world, the kitchen must follow this wave of change and renewal, so in 2018 we push our limits and standards to make you discover our new culinary experience of Italian Steakhouse, without forgetting our authentic tasty dishes.

Through all these years, our priority is to make our customers have a unique experience every time. Your satisfaction is very important to us.

Had a bad experience the first time I went but it wasn't entirely the restaurant's fault, it was more an ignorant customer next to us. Also a miscommunication about gluten free food, which was a back order issue & not so much their fault. The owner still took it upon himself to contact me a couple of days later to apologize & offer me a better experience. I returned recently & I have to say, it did not disappoint. The beef tartare is soooo good & the grilled octopus melts in your mouth. The pasta was delicious & their pizza as well. Everything we ate was just perfect & the service exceptional. We really enjoyed everything & highly recommend you try this place!!!

Went with a group. Food was underwhelming. Waited way too long to be served our food. Staff didn't really seem to care that it was taking forever for our group to be served while other tables were served & finished before we got our main!

Great experience. The food was super tasty & the portions were filling. Awesome service. It is a little on the pricy side, but if you are wanting to treat yourself & splurge a bit this would be the place to go.

Food was just ok but everything was extremely overpriced. Almost $60 for steak & fries...?! Fries were very oily & cold when they arrived. Steak was cooked well but small portion. Giving the location, the prices do not make any sense. Service could have been better.

Gluten free was requested when reservations were made...none was available when we arrived as all was on back order. When the reservations were made, this should have been put aside to ensure it would have been available. Service was very slow. Will not return.

Restaurant italien raffiné avec un menu axé sur les steaks & viandes. Le menu offre des choix de pates & pizza mais leur spécialité est au niveau des viandes. Le menu offre même des pièces de viande à partager. 3 items speciaux qui ne sont pas au menu sont offerts. Les portions sont généreuses. Le service est rapide & courtois. Les prix sont un peu plus cher que la moyenne mais les portions & la qualité sont en conséquences. Tout était délicieux.

I ate dinner here tonight. We were celebrating my mother in law's 80th bday & the staff did a great job at handling our group of about 40 people. Service was friendly & bilingual & the food was delicious. I would like to come back here to try the steak.

La nourriture était bonne, mais beaucoup d'attente entre les services & manque de service un peu. Nous avions une réservation & le restaurant était à moitié rempli, 3 serveurs nous ont dit bonjour & d'attendre, mais on les voit discuter à d'autres tables. Après 10 minutes on nous assigne une table, mais ça aurait pu être fait dès notre arrivée. La nourriture était bonne, mais on nous sert & on repart tout de suite sans demander si on veut parmesan ou poivre, donc à la recherche d'un serveur pour agrémenter notre assiette. Bon restaurant mais peut être plus pour en famille ou entre amis que pour un souper romantique.

Great restaurant with an amazing welcoming atmosphere. I was a regular here over ten years ago & loved the family feel & delicious food. Lucky to have gone back for a girls night out recently & everyone enjoyed the meal & experience. Much fancier & bigger now but still an excellent cozy feeling & absolutely fantastic food.
