La Campagnola first started in 1981 as a small Deli in the area, then in 1995, became a more popular sandwich shop (Camps), to later transform itself into a Bring Your Own Wine restaurant in 1999 with recognized homemade specialties throughout Montreal. In 2009, we decided to start aging quality canadian beef to add to our menu.
Living in a changing world, the kitchen must follow this wave of change and renewal, so in 2018 we push our limits and standards to make you discover our new culinary experience of Italian Steakhouse, without forgetting our authentic tasty dishes.

It was our first visit at the restaurant & I'm afraid it will be our last.
Although our service was excellent, the loudness & vulgarity of nearby guests made the ambiance less than desirable for a dinner amongst friends. One steak wasn't done as requested & even if waitress offered to make it right & added a complimentary dessert, first impression left a bad taste in his mouth. It's too bad, everything looked so promising & all was good at first, especially before the loud guests arrived.

Overpriced for what it was. The seating/ambiance didn't exactly have me wanting to stick around to finish our bottle of wine & order dessert. The steak full of fat & gristle, sides were ok. Polite server, but not exactly friendly either. Overall just meh. Will not be going back

Went to La Campagnola on Friday, April 11; we were a party of 3 ladies. Shout out to the bartender as it is most impressive Bloody Cesar I've ever had. It was served on a square plate with a little piece of food on each corner, i.e. olives, sausage, nuts & biscotti - Wow. Food was good, entree of salads were good as well as arancini. Main courses were spaghetti in oil (large serving), pasta of the day with sausage & rapini (pasta cooked to perfection however felt the sausage was slightly undercooked), & ravioli with braised beef which was also very good. Ambience was nice but loud. Dessert Tiramitsu was delicious, however one of party's dessert order was forgotten. Saw several plates go by where presentation was once again, impressive.
C'était notre première fois hier pour un anniversaire, le service était excellent, super familial, nous avons eu entrée, repas & dessert & tout était très délicieux ! Ça fait longtemps que je n'ai pas eu une bonne experience comme ça ! Merci on va revenir souvent c'est sur !
we saw just 3 spots for parking on the side of the building, enough space between tables. We felt that they took a long time to bring one of our meals & we had to ask again for the coffee after they brought the dessert. Nice & gentle service, good atmosphere but pricey.
O.k. let's be honest. It's a leeeetle pricey BUT, & its a big BUT, the food is absolutely, hands down, some of the tastiest Italian in the hood. The Charcuterie Board is a must try. We paired it with the herb & Parmesan fries. Delish! Then I had the pasta il limone. Outstanding. Truly. Wanted canolli for dessert but they weren't on the menu. I cried a little. But the donuts (fricatelli? Frigatelli? Frigwhatwasit!) Were also delicious.
Do it! Go! Impress your boy, your girl, your boss, your mom n dad!
Most of all? Do it for your tummy.

Excellent service de la part de Joyce. Tous les plats ont été appréciés par nous-mêmes. On avait demandé de pouvoir souligner l'anniversaire d'une de nos amies & le resto a préparé un beau dessert avec des chandelles. Ce fut très sympathique & très apprécié par notre amie.
Incredible pastas-- had the red wine & the lemon pasta incredible taste..thin crust pizza with cheese & meat served sliced
& the dessert was absolutely divine .Service fit for a king . Meals ranged about 28.00 per meal.At the end of dinner we wanted to kidnap the chief & force him to cook these great meals
Food was great. I had Ravioli stuffed with braised Osso Buco. My wife had Veal Marsala. We started with stuffed Calamari. Our friends had Gnocchi with Truffle. Service was attentive, water was refilled often. Nice warm rolls (plain & flavored butter) & a tray of Capicollo. Our waiter Juan brought meats to view at the table & told us about the specials. Desserts were good; we had Cannoli for my birthday. The owner (Dino) & his sister came to the table. The only fault: the restaurant is 'really' 'very' noisy.

Man oh man! The seafood spaghetti was amazing. Service A1, our waiter was very attentionate, was always making sure everything if we need anything. The waiter which I forgot his name was very knowledgeable, had an excellent sale pitch & gave us an excellent recommendation for the dessert (creme brule). I'll definitely return.
