About us

Our family is proud to share our passion with you. From generation to generation, La Campagnola has never stopped growing and refining itself.

La Campagnola first started in 1981 as a small Deli in the area, then in 1995, became a more popular sandwich shop (Camps), to later transform itself into a Bring Your Own Wine restaurant in 1999 with recognized homemade specialties throughout Montreal. In 2009, we decided to start aging quality canadian beef to add to our menu.

Living in a changing world, the kitchen must follow this wave of change and renewal, so in 2018 we push our limits and standards to make you discover our new culinary experience of Italian Steakhouse, without forgetting our authentic tasty dishes.

Through all these years, our priority is to make our customers have a unique experience every time. Your satisfaction is very important to us.

It was so great I will have to come back & write a real review.

Finally giving an up date review we were a group of 5 & we added a last minute guest to make it 6! La Campagnola made that change happen with out any problem.

Walked in to a very nice warm atmosphere to a very nice private table that fit perfectly 6 of us. Maybe the best seats in the house! Felt alone but still part of the nice mellow vibe of most likely their every day clientèle coming in for their mamas food. Our waitress was very welcoming & knew how to serve us well & even help us make the perfect choice for our very wide range of different tastes. Perfect place to eat like Royalty & I mean eat. Wow every servings were served perfect temperature & nicely presented & cut to perfection! Pure artistry! & we were lucky to have at our table a young woman that knows her wine!! So our meals were paired perfectly.
Thank you so much to the great staff & our waitress that listened to us & help make our meal & time there so much more!!

I have been three times to La Campagnola. Once, almost 20 years ago when it was an italian BYOW, before it was an Italian steakhouse. It was a good italian, one of the best Italian BYOW for sure. My 2nd visit everything was close to perfect: caprese salad, filet mignon & another steak, fries, rapini, mushroom. It deserved 5 stars. My most recent visit, the essentials were ok: the fileet mignon was very goos, but the rapini tasted of water & the tiramisu was ... I did not finish it. So, 4 stars. Strangely, I had the same experience with Gibbys in old Montreal, the steak was good but the mushrooms & spinach were awful. This was 8 years ago, & have never returned to Gibbys. Maybe I will return to La Campagnola, but when you botch something simple, it is not reassuring.

Went there this previous weekend & we had a wonderful service from the staff at La Campagnola. They were accommodating & helpful to our requests. The food itself was amazing & cannot find any thing to complain about. We ordered the calamari, meatballs, gnocchetti & the tagliatelle, & they were A-1. Would recommend going. Reservations are recommended.

Beauty cozy place to have some fun with friends & family.

I was searching for a BYOW steak restaurant. Very few choices in Montreal, but La Campagnola stood out in the search & they didn't disappoint. It had a good selection of streaks & the quality is up there. Good variety of choices in the menu & each was as good as you would expect it to be.

The staff was very friendly & helpful & contributed to the great ambiance of the place.

If you're looking for a good time with good food, you should visit it!

2nd time at this restaurant, & always great!
Went for a Xmas office party & all the team was delighted.
Food is excellent (steak is fantastic!)& there was variety on the menu to please everybody.
It's worth the detour :)

Definitely will recommend La campagola Restaurant to family & friends did a party for 30 people. The food was amazing Very tasteful . Shout out to all the staff, especially Lisa everyone was very friendly. The service was impeccable. my compliments to the chef & to management for putting up with all my demands which were met Thank You again.
