Overall, La Cage is described as a lively sports bar with large screens and a friendly, bustling vibe where guests enjoy crowd pleasing fare, generous portions, and free popcorn, with wings, burgers, nachos, and some standout desserts; the atmosphere and service can be great, though experiences vary by location, with some strong positive notes about attentive staff and good drinks, and some criticisms about food quality being average or inconsistent, high prices for what is offered, occasional sound and lighting issues during games, and at times a chilly or noisy dining environment; family friendliness and seating arrangements receive mixed feedback, and while many would return for game nights, others report uneven experiences depending on staff, menu availability (like occasional items being out), and the speed of service.
Came here on a visit & had wings on a Thursday. They offered half price wings...seems fair as their wings are only half the size of other places...but the best is you need to download their app to get half price wings, are you kidding me? People are annoyed enough by chopping on bones ...I've never heard of such stupidity...also, who offers dry wings only...that's ridiculous...come on now. Needless to say, it's the last time we are going there.
The place is amazing , huge & has a good vibe. Was here last month with my team for drinks & some of us ordered food later. I was halfway thru my food & the server came back with the bill. I did not like this at all. She never came in between to check in if I needed anything. My purse was on the other table & I had to struggle to get up in between & then pay. I purposely did not tip & she flashes the money in my face asking'is that it?' I said yes.
Left my food half eaten.

Good vibe during the hockey game. Wings were half-price & very good. When I got in, I asked for a beer, in French, & the waitress looked at me confused, & said'Whaatttt?' like I just spoke Chinese (I don't have anything against Chinese). In the province of Quebec, that's unacceptable. I was sitting at the bar, the only spot left, & when I arrived, I asked the welcome clerk to be relocated when a table would get free. She never came back, & I noticed a lot of places available when I left. Otherwise friendly staff. Still recommended.
Went to watch the hockey game had great wings half price Thursday everything was great but they didn't put the sound on the hockey game instead had had bad music playing
Party of 7- we got seated in a booth right under ventilation (already cold outside) so the food came & within minutes it got cold from the ventilation. Asked to change seats & waitress told us that it was like that everywhere (it was not) so we asked if they could lower it or something & she said no. It was so uncomfortable we had to eat with our jackets on lol i think our food was colder than us at a point. Shame. On top of it, our waitress had a terrible attitude & demeanour, would benefit of some soft skills training. Cage is alright in general- just would not recommend this location.
I find the portions to be quite small for the prices they charge. The soup was around 13$ & the wings were 18$ for 10 pieces. The drink was also around 13$ which made the total quite expensive for the small portion. I do like that they have different discount offers on a daily basis if you are part of their La Cage membership which is great. For Thursday, I got the wings half off & which made the meal a lot more enjoyable. The food itself was tasty. I do feel like most of the items were a bit too salty though. The sauce for the wings was sweet & complemented the wings pretty well. The service was nice & polite but I felt like we were not really welcomed. The waiters would avoid looking at our table most of the times & they would keep cleaning our table off even though we haven't finished eating yet. They would also hand us some receipts while others were still eating which made those that were still eating feel a bit rushed & uncomfortable. The atmosphere was mostly enjoyable but the later it gets, the noisier it becomes as well which makes it a bit hard to talk. The tables are pretty far apart though so there is a decent level of privacy.
