Review Summary

La Cage offers a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that many patrons find ideal for watching sports, particularly during major games. While many guests praise the restaurant for its consistently fresh food, generous portions, and friendly service, others report inconsistent experiences ranging from long wait times and overpriced menu items to occasionally dismissive or disorganized staff interactions. Opinions on food quality are mixed, with some highlighting the delicious wings, pizza, and tartar, while others find certain dishes to be average, dry, or inconsistently prepared. Overall, the experience varies significantly based on the visit, with some guests feeling highly valued and eager to return, while others have expressed disappointment regarding service efficiency, seating arrangements for families, and the complexity of the digital ordering process.

We came as a group of 10 people with children for lunch. We arrived at 12:10pm & didn't have a reservation but they were nice & accommodating at the front to set us up a table. Once seated, nobody explained to us that there's a QR code for the menu, so we waited a little until we noticed the one QR code, which was not obvious, on a promotions menu. We got our orders taken but it then took an hour to receive our food. From the time we arrived at 12:10pm, to being seated & ordering, we received our food at around 1:40pm. Worst part is the children's' food came last & other people who we noticed arrived after we did got their food before. Nobody came to proactively apologize about the long wait due to being short staffed & very busy, until we flagged the server to ask as it had been a while & our children were very hungry. In the meantime they brought us a small plate of fries to share. In hindsight we should've realized it was a mistake to come during a busy game like the Champions League, but for a popular sports restaurant you'd think it wouldn't be an issue. The ambiance for the game was nice. Despite speaking with the staff, we didn't get any compensation for the long wait except the bowl of fries. The food is very overpriced-one basic nachos with added chicken is $35+tax, if you want to add guacamole it's an extra $5.75 so you're looking at over $40 for a nachos which is outrageous.

The French fries were overcooked, but the chicken wings were excellent. Service was average, & the dining area was uncomfortably cold. On the bright side, the beer was great, & the free popcorn was a nice touch.

-Service was meh , had to ask for everything. Orders, refills, napkins water etc...
-food & drinks were terribly over priced & sub par, beer 11.50/pint for domestic
-nachos were $25 dollars & pretty much a plate of chips with veggies thrown over them .
- better off going to McDonald's across the street, best part was the popcorn they gave us when we sat down
- had chicken tenders that were more like soggy chewy chicken strips.
- $6 extra for sweet potatoe fries

Came to La Cage on a Saturday for drinks, food & a hockey game. Unbelievable atmosphere that makes a hockey more enjoyable. Nachos are a great starter & a good portion. Add bbq chicken with grilled onions to make it even better. 8.9/10. For the main dish, I had the duo salmon & beef tartare. Both were great but the beef was better. Amazing flavors. 9.1/10. I give an overall experience of 9.5/10

If you're looking for the ultimate game-day experience, La Cage hits it out of the park! The atmosphere alone is worth the visit; it's lively without being overwhelming, with big screens at every angle, making it impossible to miss a moment of the action. The crowd is friendly & spirited-perfect for both die-hard fans & casual watchers. As for the food, La Cage goes beyond typical bar fare. The wings are a must-try, crispy & coated in sauces that pack just the right amount of heat & flavor. They've also got a range of shareable plates & some creative takes on classic bar bites. The spicy honey chicken burger was a standout, & the portions are generous, so come hungry! Whether you're there to cheer on your team or just soak in the energy, La Cage delivers on all fronts. Highly recommend stopping by for your next game day! 🍺😎👍

The chicken poke bowl is the best restaraunt meal that I get in recent memory. So good & feels a bit healthy.
