La Cage operates as a prominent sports-focused restaurant chain specializing in classic pub fare and elevated grill selections. The menu features a comprehensive array of signature items including premium Quebec-sourced beef burgers, seasoned chicken wings, and hearty poutine bowls designed for large groups. Massive high-definition screens dominate the visual landscape, ensuring constant visibility for live sporting events from every corner of the dining room. Patrons encounter an environment centered on vibrant energy and communal viewing experiences rather than quiet atmosphere. The bar program prioritizes a robust selection of local craft beers and standard draught options to complement the savory, comfort-heavy food profiles. Service staff facilitate a rapid, high-volume dining flow that caters directly to fans seeking an immersive stadium-like environment while enjoying substantial meals.
La Cage offers a vibrant and energetic atmosphere that is widely praised for watching sporting events, often featuring large screens and a lively crowd. While many guests enjoy the welcoming staff, delicious wings, and various menu items like tartare and poutine, experiences remain inconsistent across different locations. Some patrons highlight impeccable service and quality meals, but others report significant issues such as long wait times, overpriced dishes, and occasional lapses in service attentiveness. Frequent visitors appreciate the daily promotions and membership perks, though concerns regarding food consistency, high prices, and loud music levels are common points of feedback. Ultimately, the restaurant serves as a popular social hub for fans, even if the dining experience varies based on service quality and the specific branch visited.
-Service was meh , had to ask for everything. Orders, refills, napkins water etc...
-food & drinks were terribly over priced & sub par, beer 11.50/pint for domestic
-nachos were $25 dollars & pretty much a plate of chips with veggies thrown over them .
- better off going to McDonald's across the street, best part was the popcorn they gave us when we sat down
- had chicken tenders that were more like soggy chewy chicken strips.
- $6 extra for sweet potatoe fries

We made reservations for 4 adults & 2 kids, to celebrate twins 13th birthday. Their request, as they wanted to enjoy dinner & watch the basketball game on the big screen. We arrived & were seated at a nice large table with 6 bar stool chairs. We ordered drinks & were served such & then ordered appetizers & main dishes. About 15-20 min later, we were informed that we had to change tables, as'this is a bar & our kids were under age.' We were told by 2-3 different girls, that we'd have to move & were being put into a small u shaped corner booth, about 15 ft away. The girls said to not take our empty plates. Clearly not my job to move empty serving plates. We 6 squeezed into the booth they had prepared for us, but with only 5 serving utensils. Within minutes, all our appetizers & main dishes were brought by at least 3 ppl. We were overwhelmed with about 9 dishes on a small table surface all at once, with no help in making space, just plates hurriedly pushed in our direction. The food was average. My grandson who ordered pizza, had about 4 pieces leftover which he wanted to take home so we asked for a box. A small 3 inch square (like for french fries) was given & I said,'you want him to put all his pieces into that small box?' The waitress said , she had nothing larger, so she would bring a couple more boxes. Nice, smashing & folding pieces of pizza, on top of one another, to fit. Hard closing the top. My other grandson needed a box for his left over meat & fries & my son needed a box for his leftover salad. We left with 3 jammed, 3 inch boxes. We asked for coffee, but it was brought COLD. We returned it to the waitress & yet, she soon brought the bill charging for the cold coffee. We told her & she said she would redo the bill without coffee. Our tip reflected the very poor service, & the lack of making our family feel welcomed. We mentioned 2-3 times that we were there to celebrate special birthdays, yet the whole situation felt more like a disaster. When approached by the waitress & the young female'manager' as to why the poor tip, we explained that, if kids under the drinking age are not welcomed to dine in their restaurant, why take a reservation for a family party? We were seated by the employee. Why have kids meals on the menu, if kids are not made to feel welcomed? What is the difference between two tables when they are literally 15 ft away from one another? Why bring appetizers & main dishes at the same time? It just felt like they wanted to get us in & out as quickly as possible. I told them that we would never come back. There are many good restaurants in the area, & prefer to go somewhere where we are treated with respect, kindness & professionalism. We were extremely disappointed by this experience & upset that what could have been very fun happy celebration, turned into such a miserable experience. This is NOT a family friendly restaurant.
Glad we gave it another chance.
Different staff, Different manager (girl with dark long hair & sneakers.
We did not have a reservation & showed up asking for a booth (we were 5) with my elder mother who cannot sit on stools & cannot go up the flight of stairs.
She managed to move a reservation & accommodated us with a booth. Thank you so so much.
It was my sons birthday & was somewhat of a special occasion (18).
They gave us a booth & we were able to have a nice birthday supper.
Waitress (not sure what her name was. African American, super nice & thoughtful. Went above & beyond to make sure we were happy & had everything we needed.
Asked her to try & have the baseball game on the big screen at our booth instead of the hockey game & she was able to accommodate the request. Food was good. Burgers were (according to my husband & son) exceptional & appetizer was really good as well. Drinks were well prepared & we really enjoyed our night. Thank you so much for the great service. We will be back.
**Edit**
What a difference a year makes.
Very rude staff including the manager or whoever that older balding guy is at the door. Was not friendly or accommodating whatsoever. We left. We went to the one on Decarie. We had an amazing time there & will not be coming back to the VSL location eventhough we live 3 minutes away.
