The service is slow, the cocktails are okay at best & the prices are sky high for the quality of food. The pork bao was tasty, the shrimp salad was below par & the tomahawk steak was average (quality of meat was not the best). The only saving grace is the ambience. They also don't have the Caribbean platter they had at the previous location.View more
Food was decent, bit pricy. Recommend the Bao & duck empenatasView more
View more
Probably one of the best meals I've had... ever. Everything was good & considering we ordered almost half the menu it is high praise! & as a haitian family our expectations were high but Kwizinn surpassed them. One of the greatest gems in Montreal!View more
View more
Great twist on Haitian food. Very nice decor & music.View more
On a deja hâte d'y retourner. Bravo 👏🏼View more
Fall-off-the-bone kabrit! Where to begin? It was honestly such a fun night. The place looks amazing. It's very immersive & it feels like we're entering a fancy grave. I loved the music by A$h Banks; it was top-tier selections nonstop! The food was so tasty, really well-seasoned & exceptional. Each dish was so unique & well-executed. We had 2 cocktails which were very delicious & potent! The mac & cheese was baked & creamy, & it didn't taste like water, as opposed to 99.9% of other places where they serve mac & cheese. It was really authentic & comforting. My discovery is the octopus carpaccio - let me tell you this one is a show stopper. SO fresh. & it was topped with a bruschetta-like sauce & focaccia. It was so unexpected & daring to compose a dish like that, but the tastes blended so well together, & it was also topped with mashed avocado. SO creative. I recommend this dish to everyone! The kabrit was G.O.A.T. It came with shishito peppers & it was literally the most tender kabrit I have ever tasted in my entire life. It just fell appart & melted like butter in my mouth. The griyo was outstanding! This dish is very authentic & simple, but it is executed exceptionally by Chef Mike Lafaille. The pikliz was pikliz! Very delicious & it's just what you hope for & more. We also ordered allocco which was just a delight! They use the sweet, ripe plantain & it was such a perfect addition to our dishes. I find the the menu is ecclectic & unexpected, but there is definitely caribbean tastes & influence in every dish I've tasted. I find it so rare to find fusion restaurants that make sense & Kwizinn makes sense! It's really well-executed & it was worth every penny. Don't go there without an open mind. It's truly an experience & they also do brunch & have fun events. I also appreciate that they were very family-friendly. We came with a baby & they didn't make us feel uncomfortable, which some fancy restaurants can sometimes make you feel like & inconvenience if you have a family or young baby, but it was not the case at Kwizinn. It's very welcoming. The service was great! I could feel the passion in every person who served us. It shows that they love what they do. They tended to our needs & were super friendly. I love that it's a chic environment, but it's also very warm & loving. A huge shoutout to Claudia who is such a great host & made me feel at home! This one is already a staple in the city. It's so worth it. I can't wait to go back & try more dishes. I'm really proud that we have such an institution here in Montreal. Bravo to everyone involved! Fantastic experience. Will recommend & tell everyone.View more
Yo yo yo, the cuisine in this place is just 👌🏽👏🏻...I'm from Central Africa & eating here felt like I was at home. It's a very modern touch on Afro-Carribean food.View more
Our server visibly relaxed when we opened with "Help us choose. Spicy is okay." Things went well from there. We ate light, choosing the pork griot & the mushroom empanadas. Both were very good, Solid wine list too. We'll be back soon for a full meal.View more
It was average. My wife ordered the chicken, & they burned it. She said it was dry. It didn't look like what others had on their pics on here. They also didn't provide a half chicken, just wings & drumsticks. Felt like we didn't get value on our order here. I ordered the burger, & it was really good. The fries were the driest fries I ever ate in my life. It was unedible though. Overcooked was a regular theme with the food, even the plantains were dry. I didn't make for an enjoyable dining experince. Even the djon djon rice wasn't djon djon rice. We were confused at what we were served. The atmosphere was nice. I was thinking that I'd come back & order the appetizer plate before the food came. I think I'll pass instead.View more
Really flavourful & delicious food! The atmosphere was also gorgeous & I loved that there was a live DJ. The service though very nice, wasn't the most attentive & we found ourselves thirsty a lot & our drinks ended up coming after our meal arrived. But overall I still really enjoyed the experience!View more
Got to enjoy this beautiful new location with a group of friends. We got to try many sharing plates. All were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were amazing, the atmosphere was very pleasant. A must try experience. We will definitely be back.View more
Good atmosphere & food! The only negative (but that does quite impact the overall experience) is the service. Extremely slow waitress (& the restaurant wasn't packed). Took 15-20 minutes to get cocktails, & no water. We had to ask someone to give us some water after waiting for 20 minutes for someone to come to our table. We felt forgotten. I mean, the food is AMAZING & the live band was great - but the service ruins it. Then you're asked to tip 18% or more, makes no sense. Anyways, thanks for the great food & ambiance but please have your waiters be more attentive.View more
Everything we had from the market whole fish, Jamaican mushroom patties, to the Haitian appetizer were delicious! Thank youView more
Bon appétit à tous!!View more
The food was good & the ambiance with the music was amazing. The service was on pointView more
Good food, but... .. only French menu card .. prices are deceiving; they recommend a side as well that cost close to a main elsewhere .. the plate size of the main would make it a small side elsewhere. Overall can not really recommend for anything but a snackView more
