For a more immersive experience, Kwizinn Vieux-Montréal offers a range of special events throughout the week. Enjoy jazz nights every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm, while Fridays and Saturdays feature local DJs spinning beats late into the night. Every Friday to Sunday, indulge in a delightful brunch from 11:30 am to 3 pm, where you can savour dishes like our Fried Chicken Sandwich with coconut-marinated chicken, maple syrup, pikliz rosé, or the Tropical Wrap filled with sautéed vegetables and a choice of shredded griot or braised beef. No, seriously, that is how this place felt.
Came to Montréal & I fell in love, not with the city but with Kwizinn itself.
My daughter & I were recommended by friends to come here, & we wandered in at dinner time on a quiet Sunday evening. We had not really checked the menu/prices beforehand, but I think had we, we might have been scared off & not gone.
The atmosphere is immaculate. Their location is a beautifully decorated space near but not on the main road of Old Montréal. On one side of the restaurant is a larger group seating are & on the other is a more intimate dining room where the bar & floor to ceiling windows give you views of the square. From the flowers on the table to the color of the benches, you can tell everything in this place has been carefully chosen to reflect the type of restaurant they want to be.
It is kid friendly, but older kids; not like the ones that would scream. The wait staff was so attentive, too. Our waitress (I'm sorry I forgot your name!) was lovely & had so many recommendations for us based on our likes & dislikes. Water glasses were never empty, the table was cleared promptly, & questions were asked in great detail. Not in an irritating way, in an I see you & I care kind of way. It was genuine, & you can tell they really enjoy & love what they do.
All this, & I haven't even gotten to the food yet. My god.
The yucca fries & the sauce - definitely got my kid to eat her vegetables. The plantain burger made her eyes water both from spice but also love. & the Cornish hen with the sauce & grilled pineapple... wooooww. It was so tender & juicy while retaining the smoke & char of how it had been cooked. At the end of all that, they recommended dessert. I wasn't hungry, but we ate the beignets anyways. To round out the night, we were fortunate enough to take in their regular Sunday night Cuban band. It was a wonderful experience & we can honestly say that we might make a trip back just for the food.
Excellent restaurant haitien & des caraibes! Un menu hors de l'ordinaire & un service A++ de la part de la co-propriétaire. Je recommande définitivement.
We had an amazing time after the F1 races with the team at Kwizinn. Hospitable , knowledgeable & e training to say the least. Our bartenders knowledge on cocktails was superb leaving her a dealers choice option for my first cocktail & she did not disappoint. This a new location for them & well laid out & designed . Speak easy downstairs for late night event . Well.done. I'll be back ☘?🤙
Superbe expérience! Excellent service! Belle terasse. On a pris le griot du chef, le carpaccio de pieuvre, les accras de morue & riz djondjon. Tout est bon! Le carpaccio est succulent!! Il y a des options végétariennes. Allez-y!
Je pense que les commentaires résument bien. En gros, vous payez pour le cadre du vieux-port. La nourriture est correct, mais les portions & le goût ne suivent pas le prix. Les cocktails sont bons mais chers. Excellent service sinon.
Amazing! Vibe, decor, food, cocktails were all perfect! The octopus carpaccio was absolutely delicious!!! So much so that we went back a second time. It was the BEST dish we had during our stay in Montreal. I'm still thinking about it! We also had the griot which was very flavorful & not too fatty. Highly recommend Kwizinn! You'll eat well & feel happy doing it!
Stopped by the food truck near the Science Centre today & grabbed a mac & cheese with extra jerk chicken, along with a lobster roll. Unfortunately, it was really disappointing - there was no flavour, the chicken was burnt, & overall the food just wasn't enjoyable. I spent $60 with tax & tip, & honestly, it wasn't worth it at all.

Venue ici pour un événement privé de groupe, très bel espace pour célébrer! Ambiance festive, cocktails réussis & bouchées fraiches & originales. Je reviendrai!
This was our second time coming & they honestly treat you like family. The food is some of the best I've had in Montreal. Our waitress is so funny & welcoming.
Definitely try their duck empanadas, their shrimp salad, their steak, the banana donuts, I could honestly go on & on.
Just try everything.
Je viens de passer une très belle soirée au restaurant Kwizinn ! L'ambiance était tout simplement parfaite. J'ai eu la chance de manger sur la terrasse, où j'ai pu profiter d'une belle vue tout en savourant un délicieux repas.
La nourriture était tout simplement succulente. Le plat que j'ai essayé était savoureux & préparé avec soin. Je recommande vivement d'essayer les empanadas au canard!
Un grand merci à la serveuse, Janila, qui a été exceptionnelle. Son service attentionné & son sourire ont ajouté une touche spéciale à mon expérience. Si vous avez la chance de tomber sur elle lors de votre visite, vous ne serez pas déçu !
Dans l'ensemble, je recommande fortement Kwizinn.
Nous avons passé une agréable soirée tout était bon mention spéciale pour le tartare avec chip de tarot , les rillettes de canard & le yuca frites ainsi que le service je n'ai rien à redire & j'y retournerai sûrement.

way to expensive, small portions & flavor less. dont waste your money on this wanna be sophisticate haitian food, go support real haitian business like bonne bouffe créole, méli melo etc.
Restaurant bien localisé. La décoration est très belle, très cosy & sympa. La tenanciere était accueillante, gentille & professionnelle. Elle était également a l´ecoute en venant nous demander si tout était bien lors du repas.
Les cocktails étaient bons mais pas donné.
La nourriture était très bonne, le poulet était succulent & la sauce aussi mais difficile à manger avec les couverts. Le riz était très bon aussi & le burger a aussi été apprécié.
Merci pour la soiree.
J'ai eu l'occasion de revenir une seconde fois après plus de deux ans, & l'ambiance ainsi que la cuisine sont toujours au rendez-vous. Mention spéciale à la poutine revisitée au homard : une belle découverte, originale & savoureuse.
Petit bémol toutefois :
Le niveau sonore dans la salle adjacente est mal réglé. Le volume y est excessif, au point qu'il devient difficile de tenir une conversation au bout d'un moment.
