About us

At Kwizinn Vieux-Port, co-owners Michael Lafaille and Claudia Fiorelli bring a vibrant fusion of Caribbean flavours to the heart of Montreal's Old Port. Chef Mike Lafaille expertly blends traditional Caribbean spices with contemporary culinary techniques to create unique fusion dishes such as our octopus carpaccio, lobster poutine, plantain burger, and bao fall of di bone. The bold use of fresh herbs, rich marinades, and zesty sauces brings out the authentic and vibrant flavours that define Kwizinn Vieux-Port’s Caribbean fusion cuisine.

For a more immersive experience, Kwizinn Vieux-Montréal offers a range of special events throughout the week. Enjoy jazz nights every Thursday from 6 to 9 pm, while Fridays and Saturdays feature local DJs spinning beats late into the night. Every Friday to Sunday, indulge in a delightful brunch from 11:30 am to 3 pm, where you can savour dishes like our Fried Chicken Sandwich with coconut-marinated chicken, maple syrup, pikliz rosé, or the Tropical Wrap filled with sautéed vegetables and a choice of shredded griot or braised beef. The menu also features our creamy 3 Cheeses Mac n’ Cheese, the flavourful vegetarian dish Grilled Eggplant Obe Ata, and the savoury Chef Lafaille's Griot with fried plantains and pikliz. After brunch on Sunday, enjoy a lively Cuban night from 6 to 9 pm. We also have a private dining room perfect for groups and special occasions, and we regularly host thematic evenings, from Caribbean-inspired culinary nights to rum-tasting events.

Délicieux desserts fait maisons; Beignets aux bananes, sauce noix de coco, & zeste de lime.
Bonnes portions & belle presentation. Excellent Service courtois & attentionné.

Incredible food, drinks, & atmosphere. Would recommend the tasting platter to anyone looking to try a bit of everything; we were given more choices than we expected. Every item was cooked perfectly & well worth the price! The food was authentic & delicious.

Les hors d'oeuvres (acrras de morue & feuileté au canard confit) étaient délicieux. Les croquettes de manioc manquaient de goût. Le Kabrit Kwizinn en valait le coût, le burger aux plantains & la pintage étaient étaient bien. Le service était sans reproches. Seule ombre au table le riz servi avec le Kabrit & la pintage semblait réchauffé : sec, sans goût.

Accueil & nourriture, excellent. Par contre, les portions dans le menu dégustation étaient nettement insuffisantes. Il est mentionné dans le menu que 2 à 3 personnes peuvent en manger.
Le riz était pour une personne, 3 crevettes pour 2 à 3 personnes 🙄. Il aurait fallu être un peu plus généreux dans les portions (menu dégustation).

Wow un service impeccable! L'accueil était chaleureuse & il y avait une belle ambiance! Le temps d'attente pour la nourriture était comme un flash! Les serveuses étaient très gentilles. La nourriture était excellente! J'avais pris un Kabrit Kuisine & wow! Même le chou-fleur était super!
C'est sure que je vais repasser!

Gros coup de coeur pour ce restaurant ! Tout était parfait! Portions généreuses, extra goûteuses !De l'entrée au dessert,tout était super bon! Même les cocktails, ils ne sont pas cheap sur l'alcool !Petit resto charmant! Employés super sympathiques! Nous avons été servis par une super serveuse dont Malheureusement, je n'ai pas noté le prénom ! Une gentille française avec un magnifique tattoo sur le bras! 😊 C'était notre première fois chez Kwizin Verdun & ce ne sera pas la dernière !
